Quick question since I'll be coming in for the NYC draft from Connecticut this year. Roughly how much is parking at the Hilton. I ask only because my options are to borrow my brother's car and park at the hotel for the various drafts or to simply take the train which I believe is $30-$40. Driving a car would likely be easier but I want to get an idea of what parking costs are (approximately). Any ideas...thanks.

This may sound a little confusing, but I guarantee it'll save you money and, perhaps more importantly, time:

Take the Hutchinson River Parkway to the Whitestone Bridge and proceed to the westbound Grand Central Parkway. Take the last exit (31st Street) before the Triborough Bridge, turn left on 31st Street, and proceed to Broadway. Half a block past Broadway on your left is a municipal parking lot.

Once you've parked, enter the N train station at Broadway. You want the train going towards Manhattan. Take the train to the 5th Avenue station, and walk three blocks to the Hilton.

Bring about $4 worth of quarters for the muni lot, plus $4 in cash for the subway.

Not exactly sure but I think you'll pay a minimum of $40 for parking around the Hilton area plus a minimum of $4.50 toll to enter NYC.

My advice would be to park on the street around the 50's and 11 avenue. I'm pretty certain you can easily find a spot on the street considering it's a Saturday. Then you can take a nice 15 minute stroll to the Hilton.

You can park your car in Staten Islan for free and take an express bus that costs $5 to Manhattan. Just a thought. I have to head to work, but PM me if you want to know Where to park on Staten Island.

I remember last year taking Deion Branch, and as I was walking to the car I got a call and was told he'd been traded during the draft. Making my selection of him worthless.
Then paying the parking bill...It was a sucky convergence of lifes twists....oh the memories.

Lou, which draft are you talking about? The NFFC midseason satellite? Branch was traded in mid- to late September last year.
