Teams that quit

Post by Route Collectors » Thu Oct 25, 2007 4:27 pm

Greg or Tom......once a team announces that they are quitting (seriously) are they locked out of setting their lineups for the remainder of the year?

If not....I'd like to see a ruling on this immediately for obvious reasons.

I don't want to watch a team tank for 3...4 weeks and end up being the "lucky" sob that plays them in week 11 when they get bored and decide to set a legit lineup.....or maybe they're in a pissing match with the NFFC and try to screw with the league.

My league has 2 teams that have publicly declared on the league MB that they are done.

If they are done then I'd like to see them locked out of the league. We don't need to hear from them any more. If they are finished they should go away for good.

Nobody is being allowed to quit in these leagues. These two instances have been addressed and just because they go on their league message boards and say they are quitting and want a refund doesn't mean doo-doo. If I allowed everyone at mid-season who was unhappy with their team to quit and get their money back, we'd be done. S--t happens during a season and grown men and women are supposed to adjust and make do.

Neither team owner is being locked out or prevented from doing anything with their teams because these are THEIR teams. They aren't getting any refund and they have been told so. What they do from here on out is their call, not ours. We have done nothing wrong with their teams.

Good luck as Chicago 4 has some interesting characters. Hopefully everyone will play it out through the rest of the season but that's up to each individual owner, not me.

And I've PM'ed you a more detailed response, too.

Greg,
Please put my refund to next year.
No need to send me a check back.

Thanks.

I agree snake. Even the 2 leagues we are in where the snakesquad is 1st and I am dead last...I still scour the WW each week and try to put in my best lineup. As a matter of fact it got me out of the basement in the snake classic last week. I'm feeling confident snake...feeling confident lol!

RC...confidence notwithstanding, you'll need a semi-miracle to prevent you from being SNAKEslayed for the second consecutive year in The SNAKE Classic...hehehe...SNAKE [/QUOTE]I don't think the kind of miracle I need is possible snake. I'll still do my best to move up as many spots as I can. I want front row seats to watch you battle it out in the playoffs. :D

Greg: I pretty much expect to get money back from you every year. Except its not a refund. Thanks.

By the way, I received the check this week for winning the NFBC satellite league. I have next year's fantasy stash all ready to go.

Jack Not everyone thinks they'll get their money back the same way you do Jack!! :D

Time to "reinvest" that NFBC money, Jack. Chicago sounds good for ya next March, but Las Vegas looks good that time of year too!! :D Come and join me in Sin City for some baseball fun!! :D
