I think that in another thread they said the main event were just in New York, Vegas, and Chicago this year. You can always participate online in the main event as well as traveling to one of the 3 cities.

THANKS Sorry, but after failing to fill two leagues in both of our main events last year in Florida, we are limiting our host cities to Las Vegas, New York and Chicago this year. We are adding the phone/online option to allow anyone who can't make it for the live events to still draft in both main events via phone/online. Flights are cheap for Las Vegas right now, so feel free to join us there if that helps.
Tampa and Orlando didn't get it done, although Tampa was definitely better than Orlando. Maybe Miami would have been a good try, but in today's economy we decided to stick with three cities and staff up for the online/phone leagues. If there's reason to ever try Florida again for baseball or football, we'll look at Miami, but honestly we have very few south Florida residents who drafted in Orlando.

Kind of a head scratcher.I did not draft in Orlando for baseball this year,Because not enough people draft in Orlando. But,if more of us said heck I'll stay in florida. We would have at least 3 or 4 leagues.I can not speak for Greg. But,I bet if 45 owners jumped in and said we want florida and we will be there. He would be glad to accomodate. One thing I have noticed all these years.Greg, listens to his customers.

Dave is right, I do listen to my customers, but I'm also not a foolish businessman. It's costly to rent a hotel ballroom for three days, fly staff down for four days, guarantee a food and beverage minimum at the host hotel and pay for shipping of draft boards and other supplies. From my perspective, I'm willing to do all of that in order to expand the reach of the NFBC and NFFC, but when expenses outweigh profit it's tough to keep going back for more red ink. At some point, you have to stop banging your head against the wall and make a reasonable decision.
The lack of growth in Florida for the 2008 NFFC and 2009 NFBC made the decision for me and thus we are doing everything we can to expand the online/phone experience rather than go back to the South again. Maybe when the economy improves we can add a fourth city, but right now it just doesn't make economical sense to do that. We'll see what this decision does to our final numbers and then re-evaluate everything in the next year. Thanks all.
