Myfantasy league has a site the will host a slow auction league I did a slow auction last year and it went pretty well. Every team nominates one play per day so its something that should be done in about a month. Players stay up for bid until there is not an advance in the bid for 24 hours.
I was thinking maybe doing this in May??? Any thoughts?

I'm in. I say we start March 1st (mid-February would be better)

I could go March 1 or soon thereafter. Would like to get past the school vacation week next week. Prefer March, but if May is the consensus, may be available then as well.

wayne, I like the May idea for the fact it will allow the DRAFT to have been complete...The rookies come into play, whether they will be an impact is different...Anuways I trust you and in whenever its decided..

so our choices are to:
1. do a sloooooow auction, like last year, starting sometime soon, again not allowing rookies to be nominated until after the NFL draft....
or
2. do a slow auction, starting later, perhaps May, where we nominate 1 per day as Wayne described above...
i'd prefer option 1, but I'll do either.

Wayne MFL is great for this. I recommended it last year, but it didn't get any traction. Hopefully, we can use it this year. Much better than having to be on-line at a specific time twice a week.
If people like having nominations and a bidding period every week, that can be done, too.

There's just no way I could do the auction again this year as it was done last year. Once you use the MFL site you will really like it. I"m game to start whenever but the best time would be after the draft so that we can include rookies.

i'm assuming that when you nominate, you can queue up players, so we don't have to wait all day for someone to nominate?
and then there is simultaneous bidding on players, each expires separately when there is a 24 hour lull in bidding?
edit: i use MFL for my home league. i'm there right now, trying to create a new league with this format, so i can hopefully see how it's run....
which one of these two is it:
On-line, email auction, taking several days/weeks to complete.
Both an on-line email draft and email auction, taking several days/weeks to complete.

If this is done in May, and its a draftchampions type format after the draft, count me in for 2010 if you have room for me. If everyone joins from last year, I'll accept "alternate" status.
