Chicago League 1
Was this the league with Boldin in the 3rd round? I hear there are some stacked teams in Chicago.

No, it was #3 league for sure and than either # 2 or #4. Two drafts look good (this was 1 of them - anyone's game) and the other two had some lopsided drafts.

FFMadMan, on another post, it was suggested that a couple of teams in Chicago have "three 1st round RBs." Is this accurate?

KOQ, don't think there were teams with 3 first rounders however there were teams that went as much as 4 deep on RB out of the gate and thus have at least 3 solid starters (no RBBC) to work with.

Guys, I was there. It was a nightmare with the 14th pick. I made the mistake of taking Torry Holt and a RB on the way back. By the time it got back to me in the 3rd round, the only starter left was Michael Bennett. By the time it got back to me in the 5th, 22 backups had been taken. Even Onterrio Smith and Moe Williams were gone. Never seen anything like it in 17 years of playing Fantasy Football. Jim Tracy

It was a tough draft Jim - ours was a tough group. The RB's did go fast but so too did the WR. The best at the mid to end of the 4th was Price, Porter, Burress. I think you got Hasslebeck at a good value #42? By the way thanks for taking Jordan!

King, I cant remember all three teams exactly, but the 8 or 9 spot on one board got James, Barlow, Martin, a good WR (cant remember which), Moulds, Vick, another QB, .....
On that same board, I know 2 of the 3 teams at 1,2 and 4 spots were very strong because that is where the #3 guy picked Boldin in the 3rd, M. Robinson, and others. Also, on that same board, someone from around the 7 spot went Manning, Gonzalez with the 1st two picks. So it opened things up even more for teams at RB and WR.
On another board, the 3 spot had Portis (which I thought was early, but dont feel bad for him) with two other very solid picks. Someone else also had Lewis with 2 other great players on that board - "the Buckhalter Board". Sorry, I can't remember all the names. I've got FF overload. Never studied so hard for anything since EE exams! I'm sure that the teams will be posted soon.

League#1PK #6,
Ya hey, da RB's de flew off the board. But there's a New Day Dawning! Came into the draft a RB freak but had decided to let the draft determine my strategy. When I was unable to get one of the 5 RB's I wanted in rd #1 I decided to go for the value pick in R Moss (pk6). Continuing the mad run on RB's found me taking another value pick at #22 in Hines Ward. Then much to my dismay 8 more RB's went so I again went with a value pick S Smith. Was HAPPY to get Dunn in the 4th as the WCO should make him much more valuable than Duckett. Went with E Smith as the last remaining starter. Filled in with Hollings who I feel will be a starter. I will be the litmus test for the WR startegy as i now have a team constructed around the WR's in a league that drafted tough...no gifts in this league excepting one or two teams who took RB's regardless of the bye week and thus may give away a week.

A New Day's Dawning as the WR's kick the Rb's in game #1. While I'm not happy with the final product, drafting the wr's as the frezy on the RB's went unabated was my only logical choice. I have managed to get by 2 of those RB's that went ahead of my wr's. Dont really expect that trend to continue but am pleased for the win.
