Thanks Captain. Nice effort, although the fact that you are offering to bet that your QB outscores my BACKUP QB should worry you. What’s next, taking on Team Friske’s JP Losman? No need to go through the trouble. I think we all would agree that Steve McNair is a fine backup QB.

Now to the wideouts. I like your WRs, but even they don’t stand up to mine. Holt > Horn. Jackson > Driver. Bruce > Branch, Muhammed > Curtis. In fact, Curry > Curtis and I got him 3 rounds later. Sure, the emergence of Curtis could cut into Bruce’s numbers and I like Curtis as a SLEEPER. But really, touting that Curtis will be the #2 is a little absurd.

I will give you that should Fred Taylor go down for an extended period of time, I will not be very excited to start Thomas Jones in his place. I would be just about as excited as you having to start Fast Willie in Martin’s place all year (isn’t Martin 40 years old?). Perry, yeah, he’s only a winner if Rudi goes down. But I got him in the 12th, not the 4th round gamble you are taking with Larry Johnson.

Good one making fun of my 16th pick (Jolley). Who did you get that late? Randy Hymes and Mark Bradley? Always good to take backup receivers battling for spots on powerhouse passing teams. In any case, I’ll take my chances on Ben Watson. Can’t be any worse than your wonder TE, Heath Miller.

Hey, you were the one that ragged on McNair as somebody's QB in your first post.

Yes, you WR are better than mine - they will need to be because you will have to play 4, while most of the time, only my top 3 will be in the lineup.
Meanwhile, my RB will dramatically outscore yours.
Larry Johnson will out score everyone you have except Kevin Jones and Taylor (assuming he stays healthy).

McNair will not score more than Collins, but the difference will be less than my Flex vs your Flex/WR4.

And I am willing to bet that Miller scores more than Watson for the year - and he is my second TE.

Hymes and Bradley are just late round lotto tickets - likely waiver wire fodder soon, but both have big play potential - I just hope I don't have to bank on them LOL

Captain, I am just giving you a hard time. Your team actually looks pretty good.

But are you seriously that excited about using Larry Johnson as your flex? I know that if Priest goes down, he will be a monster. But I really do not think that until then, he will be outscoring Muhammed, who I think is a more than adequate flex player.

My bad on your TE, I did not realize Miller was your second tight end given that he is in your starting lineup. Quibling about Watson versus Miller or Stevens is not something either of us should be happy about.

On Hymes and Bradley, my point was like Jolley, they are all possible waiver wire fodder.

Dyv. Nice squad you put together, so it was tough finding something to rag on. Although I still find your interpretation of #1 WR a huge stretch. Randal El and Toomer are fine for where you got them, and they were on my list for adding depth, but the key word there is depth. Having to rely on one of them to start should be interesting.

Green falling to you in the 6th was a steal. Plummer as a backup QB is also nice. Wiggins, well 6th may be high, but you definitely failed in trying NOT to get a decent TE (unlike myself that did quite well in my attempt thank you very much).

If Tatum Bell takes over as the man in Denver, you could be in a world of hurt having to start both Randal El and Toomer. Thats before even considering that Anderson is coming back from a season ending injury last year. Fragile Fred is not the only back with questionable health for the year.

Agreed, agreed - good news is if Anderson does go down I can actually upgrade him with Ricky Williams if he Anderson can hold the job for 6-7 weeks. Failing that, watch the waivers - maybe I can pull a rabbit out of the hat ;)

I did fail at the TE push ... sigh

Anderson is a former marine and doesn't have near the wear and tear on him that Freddy does. That and Shanahan is as loyal a coach as you'll ever find. Anderson behind that line can put up 100 yards a game and no reason to see Tatum without an injury as Shanny has never played RBBC before.

Game on - we'll know in about a month how things are shaping up.

My best pick of the whole draft was Ricky. Ask yourself this question: If Ricky were the starter in Miami (say Saban announced he had the starting job 2 weeks ago) and he wasn't facing a suspension... where would you take him overall in a draft?

Saban has said Ronnie is only ready for 10-12 carries in the first game. Sound like a confident coach to you?

Is my "weekend warrior" prep better than your prep?
