Since I'm bordering on NFFC extinction, I was wondering if anyone wants to talk about movies or TV? I'll start it off with Tarentino. Do you love or hate his work? I'm a BIG fan and love every one of his films. Jackie Brown took me an extra viewing, but it was better than I first thought. I know that Gecko likes Pulp Fiction (or the Bible), but wanted to hear from you guys that are under .500...you as well, Nnoy. Also, does anyone like Deadwood as much as me? I think it's a "Gem" but some people have buried it. I would love to hear some of your thoughts. I think the only thing that I love more than women and fantasy sports is film. I'm involved in film production on the side and my DVD collection is approaching 700, counting pirate bounty. Sorry about pushing the football aside, but drafting Jamal Lewis and Rudi Johnson with your 1st two picks can do that to a fella.

I assume by the non-response, no one is interested. I guess I'll go watch True Romance.

The rest are deserving, though
Did you really post 'Titanic' ? Really? I just puked again thinking about that flick...

Personally, I couldn't convince myself to spend the 3-plus hours to actually watch the Titanic, so I can't give an opinion. My two daughters loved it though. Can't get with a serious love story, but A Modern Romance with Albert Brooks was hilarious...a tour de force by Brooks. What do you guys think of Tarentino? Reservior Dogs, Pulp Fiction, True Romance (not his direction), Jackie Brown...Kill Bill? He NEVER takes the easy, standard route. Takes big balls to do that in Hollywood. Keeping Harvey Keitel, Michael Madsen and Samuel L. Jackson around doesn't hurt either. Could watch his stuff 24/7.

Thanks for the response, Geck. With each day that passes, you're getting ever so close to the good end of the horse. I'll give my list tomorrow...the Xanax is starting to kick in.

Primo, I'm going to go see Friday Night Lights this week as having spent my high school and college days in Texas, I know all about the Odessa Permian football tradition and can't wait to see if it was captured properly on the screen. I can safely say that from roadtrips to Texas Tech during my days at A&M that the Permian girls were "primo". I'm a science fiction, super hero movie watcher when I'm here in SC, but when I go back to my girls in LA, I watch more Disney and action flicks. Liked Hidalgo but prefer Caddyshack, Tin Cup, Tomb Raiders. I agree with you on SLJ and would add Denzel, Gibson, Ford, and Connery.

True Romance has more great lines/great performances/great cameos per minute than any other film.
