For all you guys that are out of it, like myself, anyone want to get back to the movie discussion? I "saw" a really good flick the other night called..."Saw"

I was expecting the run-of-the-mill thriller that we've all seen a thousand times, but to my surprise, found a fresh alternative to the genre. The film has thrills and chills, with an original ending that gets you thinking. If any of you "saw" it, please chime in with your thoughts. If you didn't, I strongly advise you to check it out if you're not easily upset. I'll be returning for a 2nd viewing tonight and looking forward to it. Any other films out there that you consider worthy of catching? It takes the edge off of waiting for the return of Jamal Lewis. ;)

Great flick--I won't spoil any of the surprises in this forum.

Primo, are you viewing this movie in a cineplex, or do you have one of those bootleg DVDs I see all over Manhattan?

King...I have access to those bootleg movies, but I prefer to see flicks at the theater. Most of those pirate jobs are terrible quality anyway. There are certain sites on the net...shhh...where you can download those films, but I would never do such a thing. ;)

Just because I am a jerky, I am going to ruin the end of SAW.

Bruce Willis was dead for the whole movie, and the kid was helping him accept it.

By the way...on that issue. Am I the only person that thinks M. Night Shamawhatever keeps on making the same movie over and over again? Sixth Sense was novel, and Unbreakable was okay, but the rest of them were blah, blah, blah. I couldn't even make it through the last one...The Village, I think? Give me a full dose of Tarentino any day. :D

M. Night Shamalamadingdong can't figure out a way to end his movies. If Tarantino ever got serious, his movies would be 4 stars. He's deep but he does get over-the-top-ridiculous in all movies except for Pulp Fiction. Marcellus' soul was what was in the briefcase that Travolta was carrying if you didn't already know.

That's the rumor, Diesel...about the soul, I mean. Tarentino is great because he goes against the standard Hollywood bullcrap and does things the way HE wants. As a person involved in the "industry," I can attest to the fact that Tarentino is revered by his peers.

Knock on wood. What movie are you referring to? I never heard of a film called "Eight and One" or "Knock on Wood."

Knock on wood. Did you personally thank Belichick for being 8-1?
