• Draft slot #11 $0 Joe Fitzpatrick
• Draft slot #12 $0 Don Thompson
• Draft slot #13 $0 Appleman
• Draft slot #14 $33 Dyv
3) What were the results?
a. Who won? Kings of Queens (draft slot 3) played against Gekko Challenge – DYV (draft slot 14) in the Championship game. Kings of Queens won.
b. Who made the playoffs? (if any)
Gantze Machers Gekko (draft slot 1)
Kings of Queens (draft slot 3)
Gekko Money Train (draft slot 5)
Gekko Challenge - DYV (draft slot 14)
Zefurs Gk (draft slot 8)
Team Morgan (draft slot 2)
4) Besides the "feel good" aspect, how was the league different than a non-bbds league? You have direct and weighted input into getting a slot you prefer. I loved the idea and just missed out on getting edge by 1 pick.
5) Did BBDS really change the FA wire? Obviously. Less money to bid for the teams that spent more on their draft slot. I’ll get comments from the big draft slot spenders a little later.
6) What players did the top 3 BBDS $ spenders sign during the year?
Gantze Machers Gekko
Adrian Peterson 45
Tyrone Calico 22
Tennessee Titans 17
Mike Alstott 17
Todd Peterson 14
Jose Cortez 5
Darren Sproles 3
Team Morgan
Heath Evans 253
Patrick Pass 123
Mike Alstott 102
Dante Hall 32
Anthony Wright 27
Tim Dwight 16
Jeff Garcia 13
Vinny Testaverde 2
Koren Robinson 1
Ryan Longwell 1
Kings of Queens
Brandon Jones 249
Courtney Roby 185
Dennis Northcutt 62
Jason Elam 49
J.P. Losman 37
Roddy White 36
Ike Hilliard 25
Mark Bradley 14
Lawrence Tynes 14
Carolina Panthers 9
Erron Kinney 6
Olindo Mare 5
7) I like BBDS, but I want to see if it REALLY changed anything but the "feel good" part at the draft?
John – The “feel good” part as you describe is what I call having “direct input”. You want direct input with your weekly free agent selections, don’t you? This was a very tough league, as there were many top notch competitors, including the 2004 and 2005 NFFC Champions.
