Chicago League 4: NFFC Classic

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sun Aug 30, 2009 12:19 pm

The sixth annual National Fantasy Football Championship will host live drafts for the main event on Saturday, Sept. 5th at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois. These drafts will start promptly at noon CST and consist of four leagues of 14 teams each. Everyone should be in the draft room at least 20 minutes before-hand as we will start EXACTLY at noon. There will be one break after round 10 and we’ll finish after the 19th round. Good luck everyone.
Remember that this year we will again have 3RR (Third Round Reversal) in the main event. That means we’ll start out 1-14 in Round 1, 14-1 in Round 2 and 14-1 again in Round 3. Serpentine continues in Round 4 as 1-14, 14-1, etc. through Round 19.
Chicago will feature 56 teams consisting of 4 full leagues. Below is the draft order for Chicago League 4:
LEAGUE 4
1. Brian Swaw, Elwood, Illinois
2. Drew Masse, Wheaton, Illinois
3. Michael Welp, Indianapolis, Indiana
4. Jack Haan, Palos Heights, Illinois

pick 12! That was my first choice. And I did not get in a league with my buddies Route C or colts fan. Although I believe my roommate is in my league. Might have to hide my rankings list :D

I've looked closely at our draft. I think Jeff Cooper drafted the most balanced team that still has upside. Cutler, Bush, Buff RB's, D. Jackson, S. Moss, Celek, Steve Smith NY could all outperform their draft spots. That's every pick between 3 and 10. I'd consider that a real nice draft in a 14 team league.

That's nice of you to say Jack, now where should I send the check.

You took my 1st round pick and a couple of others as I remember.

BTW, I think that's you in the same slow draft baseball league I'm in. The one I did with my stepfather. I wish I would have thought of that while I was in Chicago. Anyway, looks like you are in the money in that one.

Really enjoyed meeting everyone. There is some stiff competition. Not like my local leagues at all. Should be a great season. Can't wait for Sunday.
