I've run a league similar to this in the past. What we did was run it through the whole playoffs.
First Week was a Random Draft Order, with 1 extra bench slot (that was for a Bye week player).
Prior to the subsequent weekly drafts, teams were required to "keep" whatever players they want and discard the rest. The drafts continue until all teams are full.
Second Week was the reverse of the first week order (no further including a bench slot).
Prior to the Third Week, the bottom 4 teams in the league are eliminated and their players are thrown back into the player pool. The draft order for the Third Week is "First to Worst", with the BEST team selecting first in the 4 team draft.
Prior to the Super Bowl, the bottom 2 teams are eliminated and the final two teams compete in the Super Bowl for the league title, with the top scoring team selecting first and alternating picks.
During the Third Week you can compete either as a 4-team total points affair or a pair of Semi-Final h2h matchups.
