Here is a comparison between Gore and Addai over the last 3 seasons...

Gore 45 games, 45 GS, 3833 yards, 4.5YPC, 23 TDs

Addai 43 games, 27 GS, 2697 yards, 4.2YPC, 30 TDs

The only thing I see better is YPC. Total yards is a result of him having no passing game and a total reliance on the run. Addai still has more TDs which wash Gore's advantage in yards.

I guess that's why it's best to set our KDS 1-14 to ensure we get one of those top RB's. :D Does anyone have a good feel for where they'd like to draft this year in the NFFC? With 3RR, what area of the draft looks best this year? Anyone like the back end this year? The middle? The front?? Should be wild. [/QUOTE]If i were to set mine today i would go 14,13,12,11,10,then 1 through 9.
That would leave many options right now,as some leagues will go rb heavy at the top and some will go big with wrs i think.I bet some of the NFFC main event drafts have 5 wrs chosen before the 14th pick.Either way it leaves nice choices on the backside, imo, and like Rob said,it is nice to have an early round 3 choice as well.

Ultimately, though, I'm a believer in talent and after watching Addai the past season-plus, I'm no longer convinced he has top-line NFL talent. I think he's a product of his environment. Addai really needs the stars aligned just perfectly in order to shine.

The great RBs make things happen even when there are issues around them. Look at Gore, for example. He's been on wretched teams and yet still has put up good and oftentimes great, numbers. Addai hasn't shown any ability to do that. Tom...you know I'm a rabid Colts fan so it's hard for me to start any hatin...but when it comes to Addai...you're spot on.

I remember the Super Bowl. It wasn't Addai that ran over the Bears... it was Rhodes.

I remember last season. It wasn't Addai that finished in the top 25 NFFC scoring RB's...it was Rhodes.

I remember yelling at my TV along with everyone else in the room last year "put in Rhodes" every time the Colts needed a tough run.

Addai ran behind the same line as Rhodes. Addai has become a dancer who runs scared. At the end of the day it's about talent. I think Addai has that...it's courage he keeps leaving in the locker room. :(

I respectfully disagree. Gore averages 23 rushing yards per game more than Addai. That's a huge difference in my opinion. And when you consider Gore has never had a decent QB, much less a future Hall of Famer, and the Niners' WRs have been pedestrian at best (and that's being kind) unlike the Colts, that makes what Gore has done even more impressive in my opinion.

I watch Gore and I see a very talented RB who can succeed no matter what. When I watch Addai, I see a product of the Colts' system who lacks the talent to shine unless everything is perfectly set up around him. And based on how involved Rhodes was last season and how the Colts took a RB in the first round of this year's draft, something tells me they see the exact same thing with Addai.

The beauty of differing opinions.

The beauty of this is with every negative word from you or Greg, it pushes their ADP lower and lower. If someone takes a chance on Addai and it pans out, then it's the kind of move that could push them over the top.

This reminds me of Slaton from last year. All we heard was how fragile he looked. Kapow! Excellent value on draft day!!!!!!

If Addai ends up being drafted where Slaton was last year I agree he could be a nice value pick. ;)
