It's fun talking football.
I'll say this Dave - in an NFFC/full PPR format I'm taking Williams over Turner. In a standard scoring league, I'm going with Turner. So ultimately, it comes down to your league's scoring.

Top 15 RBs From Fantasy Sports Magazine
With Tom ranking our Top 15 in the initial post and folks debating their values throughout this thread, I thought it would be fun to look at RBs outside our Top 15 and get some discussion going there. Here's a few thoughts on some RBs I think are interesting outside our Top 15:
17. Ronnie Brown is ranked 17th by Fantasy Sports Magazine and went 20th, 14th and 18th in our drafts. Brown had a lot of his value last year based on his role in the Wildcat offense, but is there any chance that rookie Pat White steals come carries in that role? I think White can be an interesting sleeper pick and I wouldn't be surprised if he steals some of these carries in the Wildcat from Brown. Heck, he was picked in the second round and the Dolphins obviously have a role in mind for him other than the No. 3 QB spot.
24. Derrick Ward: He's ranked 24th by us and went 24th, 21st and 25th in our three magazine drafts. I like him a lot and I think he will finish with more carries than Earnest Graham this year. Ward averaged 5.6 yards per carry last year with the Giants and topped 1,400 yards in only 223 touches. Graham could vulture the goal-line scores, but I think Ward is going to be a breakout player in Tampa this year.
31. Felix Jones: He went 30th, 35th and 30th in our three magazine drafts and he would be my sleeper pick at this point in the off-season. If he returns healthy, he will have a prominent role in this offense because the Cowboys will need to find a spark somewhere. I don't see Patrick Crayton or Miles Austin stepping up and taking over for T.O., which means someone like Jones will have to create something on swing passes. If the Cowboys can create space for Jones he can be electric.
33. Cedric Benson: He went 33rd, 26th and 33rd in our three magazine drafts, yet he remains the starting back on an offense that should be much improved with a healthy Carson Palmer back at QB. He's not a sexy choice, but Benson seems to be a value pick this late among RBs.
36. Tim Hightower: The addition of rookie Chris Wells has really hurt Hightower's value, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In our three magazine drafts, Hightower went 42nd, 34th and 28th, a pretty wide spread. Chris Wells is perceived to be the starting RB during his rookie season and he went 23rd, 28th and 29th. I likw Wells a lot and he will be the better back, but there's no way that Wells will stay healthy for all 16 games. Backing up Wells with Hightower makes sense and could be good value at your RB2 or RB3. spots.
Other interesting values on RBs:
41. Julius Jones: He went 51st, 38th and 42nd in our three drafts even though he's still the projected starter in Seattle.
47. Chester Taylor: 53rd, 46th, 37th. I think Percy Harvin is going to steal some of his catches in the Vikings' passing game this year. Harvin will be a factor in the Minnesota offense this year, I'm sure of that.
53. Fred Taylor: Some see his value higher than we do as he went 47th, 36th and 55th among all RBs in our three drafts.
Thoughts? What values or overvalues do you see outside the Top 15 RBs?

Jeez Greg, 2 days go by without a response? Where are the diehards?
I wouldn't touch Hightower this year until very late. Someone will take him much higher than I'd be willing to pay.

I'll bet Benson is inside the top 20 at season's end. So, he represents great value currently.

I wouldn't touch Hightower this year until very late. Someone will take him much higher than I'd be willing to pay. Yeah, football talk is at a minimal across all boards right now. This is a dead zone time for most folks. But I enjoy looking at current draft results to look for outliers on certain players. If there is no consensus on certain players then that means either a good value for someone or a player on the decline who deserves to go that late. I'm just looking for discussion on those type of players to get other opinions.
We're still 3+ months away from Draft Day and hopefully the June 1 free agent period will spark a little more interest. Plus our first football magazine is hitting NFFC mailboxes already, so hopefully folks will get excited enough to check the boards when they get the mag. I want to make sure we have some content for them when they arrive.
Thanks for the opinions on the RBs.

I would be disappointed if you agreed with everything I said above. The players I pointed out are receiving different levels of love in recently completed drafts and that's why I'm looking for opinions on each. Just saying you disagree is easy and just adds one more post to your total. Anyone could do that.
...sorry Greg but have to keep things close to the SNAKEvest these days...there are simply too many FF neophytes out there lurking, always lurking...SNAKE
Come on Glenn, take off the tinfoil hat and join the discussion. No need for paranoia in May! As you state (not so eloquently, may I add ) opinions can and will change between now and draft day!
