Thank you Rob.
Paid sites are not for everyone, and being even more specific you should know WHO it is you're paying for. I think Jules likes Hanson for the same reason many like me, you get me...
The same reason some won't want Hanson or my site...you get me.
Not a problem, some folks like a lot of stats, I'm not a stats guy, I use them, but don't live by them. I go based on the team around a player and that players ability in general.
Just a different opinion/method. I do intend to stay around along time, and continuosly get better at running a site, so it does grow like a Hanson's. My personal record will be a factor and my ability to help others as well.
Proof is in the "cutting of heads" as they say.

King of Queens,
Do we get a FREE FSM this year???? Don't mess with a guy who's been with one woman this long...LMAO...I do like Tom's analysis every year, and I also believe everyone should always at least check out his dollar values. It can be helpful.
And Lou,
I'm not much of a stats guy myself. In fact, I've been known to just pick people because of pure MoJo. As I said inthe past, MoJo is something you can't put a number on. It's something you can't rank. You have to feel it. You have to know it. That's not to say I'd pick Nick Folk next year in round 4 because I think he'll be the top kicker in the NFL (because I do...lol), but it does say that I may pick a guy like Ryan Grant next year, if the starting spot is his, over some reputable known RB's. All because this kids' got MoJo. No doubt.

My stomach was killing me from that Pastrami Sandwich. It was so damn good though.
The Diesel Diehard Draft is perfect for pure fantasy football. Invitation only, and you leave any grudges at the door. It's STRICTLY fantasy football. Hell, even Tom wanted nothing to do with it...LOL...He went to get plastered instead...lol...Good for him...Next year, I will start the signups again around May. First come first serve. Different food. Higher entry fee. Not $650, but more than $300.

My opinion is that personal attacks has no place on these message boards. i have met a good deal of first class people over the last few years during these drafts. never should family , race religion , or sexuality be mentioned on these boards. never would these comments be said face to face. keep it to ff and have fun and enjoy life.
THIS IS THE BUSINESS WE HAVE CHOSEN

Excellent post! [/QUOTE]i'll tell you what, there are alot of words thrown around but in the end i dont think anyone really has ill intent to personally attack people..
the great thing about these boards (the NFFC) is that Greg and Tom allow things to play out as long as there are no real real real flagrant problems.. people are not censored, and the bottom line is that if you don't like what someone has to say just don't read and it and move on.
Look at this thread.. over 65 posts on it.. obviously it's bringing people to the boards. nobody is forcing them, nobody is forcing them to read.
Tom and Greg quite honestly have done a very good job in staying personally involved without shedding fear on people for expressing their opinions.. There are other sites that love to use their power to elicit popularity and self-worth..
I think this event has been a tremendous experience for me this year.. 1st year.. i didn't do great but i loved it.. if i somehow pull out the diesel league i'll be happy..

re: Math
In poker you can play it by the numbers/math, or you can play it by feel, or mix both. I've seen pros make it by any of these methods or combo of methods. I think the same works in fantasy football. I'm more a numbers guy, and run tons of VBD/ZVBD stuff before and while doing drafts. But I also see other guys go to the draft with a pen, paper, NFL depth charts, and that's it, and they draft based on how they feel each round. And that also works!
Bottom line, I think any method works, just like poker. The key is that you have to know what you're doing. If you do, you'll win more than the average player. -z-
