6
n/a (NY3)
3

For those that claim #1 almighty, no argument can be made until you start to include #8.

True, but that is tainted by the skill of each owner in using their FAAB budget.

The point of all this is that it doesn't matter where you pick. The thing that matters most is how you manage your team.

I'm always amazed at how much time is spent on draft strategy analysis, but not "in-season" analysis. 80% of the time, "in-season" moves are what wins leagues. The draft can only give you a tiny head start at best.

I agree with you, KJ, and UFS kind of said the same thing in his second sentence when he said how you manage your team is more important than draft position. Can't wait to hear Gordon and Vegas comments on this. Dynamite work, UFS.

Dynamite work, UFS. draft spot and management are both important! come on. grade school stuff here. give the #1, or #2 spot to someone who knows what they are doing and they have a much better chance at winning than does the #13 or #14 team. that's an easy one crow. dynamite work? hehe

Because depth is so important, it is tough to make conclusions before the bye weeks.

I've realized that in FF, the hardest thing to admit to yourself is that YOU screwed up. There are so many other variables involved, it's really easy to find the scapegoats, when the reality is staring you in the mirror. I realized this after my first real season of managing a FF team. Sure, winning it all requires luck and breaks, and yes - there are always instances where a team is just cursed with bad luck and injuries and the owner can legitimately make a case for it not being his fault. But for the most part, we don't have to look any further then ourselves for why we are having a bad year.

Dynamite work on putting draft numbers to the top 30, Gordon. Saved me a bunch of work and that's why I asked Greg if Stats could put the team numbers next to the team names to watch as the season goes on. As for 1 & 2 versus 13 & 14, I don't buy into any of it as the first two weeks have shown. LT with turf toe already and Priest complaining about his hip. No draft spot is a lock as this year will prove regardless of intelligence. Survival of the fittest and who had the best draft between rounds 5 and 14!!

With leagues that are now 16 years old, I can say on "average", even the best owners have bad luck, injury riddled seasons once every 5 years.

With my luck in FF, I'm due for about 20 straight good years!! LOL.. My mirror is broke!!

I own McAllister, J.Jones, Kennison, R.Anderson, G.Hearst, D.Branch, T.Pinkston, D.Brees. 50% of players with an injury Wk 2.

I will fight to the end though.
