Help! Right now w/ Lineup submission!!

How does this help owners who didn't read that little thread (posted 1+ year ago) or those who joined this year? after this debacle, i'm sure greg will spell it out in the rules...and the world will be safe again, until someone else puts on their attorney hat and finds something not 100% spelled out in the rules.

it's everyone's job to read the rules, understand the rules, and ask questions if you aren't sure about anything...but do so BEFORE the season starts.

I just looked at your team, and I have to ask a question. Why didn't you activate David Patten in Torry Holt's place when you heard the news that Holt wasn't playing???

I know you said you wanted Marion Barber's points, but that is taking your highest bench player and giving you the points. How does anyone REALLY know that you intended to start Barber, and not Lamar Gordon for example?

IMO you should have started Patten, and took the points he got you. It was only 7.6 (to Barber's 10.1), and then you could have argued your case. The way it is now, it is PURE speculation on who you wanted to start (not that I believe it will be changed anyhow).

I'm sorry 3-Int, but I just can't see your point on this. Hi Billy

3INTBOY's original post is timestamped ... Greg could use that post to make the change if he was going to make it. The post and wishes are clear. But he could have made the other switch ... just in case.

I tried. It let me take Holt out, but I couldn't put anyone in.

I understand NOW that this is the way the software works.

BUT HOW WOULD I KNOW THIS IS HOW IT'S DONE HERE?

HOW. NO ONE HAS ANSWERED. HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW?

It's not intuitive, and not stated anywhere.

He figured it out too when it was too late. Should a rule of this importance be allowed to be "figured out"? I will say again in support of 3intboy - this situation, with such a high potential for a porblem that could (and did) impact a team should've been specifically addressed in the rules and/or elsewhere on the NFFC site in BOLD lettering. And it was not.
Interesting.

I see it PERFECTLY posted in the rules as FLEX is listed as a different position.
When you took Holt out, it wouldn't let you put Patten in??? If that is the case, something is wrong. Since both of them started at 1:00, you should have been allowed to do that.

Gotta go and have not heard back on my e-mail.

Anyone know how to correct this?

Thanks.

3' He wasnt trying to put in a WR obviously as his post stated. He was looking to move Chambers to the WR slot from his locked FLEX spot and put in a "3rd RB" into the FLEX spot

Sorry 3INT, there is no way greg will change this!

This seems like a TOTAL SOFTWARE FAILURE.

I can't imagine that the owners of this event INTENDED it to be so, OTHERWISE, it would be stated in the rules so that all players could be aware of the possible issue.

For everyone to jump on board and say, "That's the way it is and has been" may be valid, HOWEVER, has the owner of this event said this and IF so, I would like an explanation why this rule is NOT in the rule book.

If this is the case, are there OTHER rules in the rule book that AREN'T in the rule book ??

I would want an answer to this question before I enter again.

Edited to add: I guess I shouldn't use the word "Rule", however it seems like a RESTRICTION that at the very least, should be documented.

I guess what I'm getting at is, (and maybe the regulars can help), How many other things are out there could be left open for interpretation? For someone who is this interested in the rules, why did you start Carolina this week at D/ST?
i guess for the same reason you started A-Train over Toomer ...

no, this is a product of a sick household all week and TOO damn many fantasy leagues. The one I was bombing in didn't get the attention it deserved... but I somehow still eeked out the win.

Congrats on your undefeated record!
