Help! Right now w/ Lineup submission!!

Post by Team Legacy » Mon Oct 24, 2005 4:14 am

Good show Greg. I can only speak from my experience, in that every other competition I've ever played does not LOCK your flex, it moves where its needed so one would assume without any written explanation otherwise that it would still be the case here.

Thanks for looking into this, please let us know if and when this becomes doable.

At the least I should get Pattens points added as a WR because had my e-mail been answered by Stats they could have told me it had to be done that way. I would not have waisted 20 minutes figuring it out.

The VAST MAJORITY who were wrong, the Flex is NOT a position. Can show me some love by at least agreeing that it would be FAIR for Greg to make this change.
you've had your say. greg had his say. you were wrong. it's really turning into sour grapes now.

no on patten pts. sorry.

Lou, thanks for raising this topic as it will surely make the game better from here on out even if it is a change that cannot be made until next year. i agree with this.

I will admit that this is more of a computer setup snafu than a Rules snafu. From a programming standpoint, I will ask STATS to change this going forward if that's possible, but for now everyone should be aware that the Flex is its own position and you can't change that player's position once you have him in the Flex position. The VAST MAJORITY who were wrong, the Flex is NOT a position. Can show me some love by at least agreeing that it would be FAIR for Greg to make this change.3INTBOY, you need to get over this denial syndrome you have shown for the better part of 7 pages. Greg stated the Flex is a position of its own but that his intent was for it to be flexible. But, STATS did not make it flexible and if they cannot make it flexible which may very well be the case since it has been this way for a year and a half, are you still going to be claiming the Flex is not a position? Interesting it took you 7 weeks to figure out once a position locks, it can't be unlocked.

The fact NAG agreed with you right away should have set off an alarm in your head that something was wrong with this picture as NAG rarely agrees with anyone on these boards. Shame he hijacked this thread to continue his anti-GEKKO attacks. Fact is, precedent rules as 22 weeks of no complaints with this system bears out. I'm sure if the Supreme Court had the opportunity to rule on this, Justice Kennedy would argue that since this is the way it is done in Germany, France, Russia, and Spain the precedent has been set. I'm not so sure Greg shouldn't rethink HIS position seeing as it is mid-season when this complaint of the STATS system has occurred.

If nothing else, Greg, you may want to schedule a class on setting and changing lineups after the Saturday drafts even though in two years you've only had one problem case.

Flex is NOT a position, it is an assignment of a position. Wr, Rb, Te is a position.

lou was right, no he's wrong, no he's right, no he's wrong, no he's right, no he's wrong, no he's right...

greg ruled on it, and he can't change his player.

Louis,

Marion Barber can not replace Torry Holt. You already had Chris Chambers (who locked
on Friday) in as your WR/RB/TE, and you would have had to bench Willie Parker in
order to start Marion Barber, as Priest Holmes locked as well.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

How's this. 1 last time.

I have bolded my e-mail time.

And their response time.

Had they responded in a timley manner. I may have been able to place Patten in my lineup,
instead of fighting with a system.

ONLY A FEW SEEM TO KNOW HAS A PROBLEM.

I should get Pattens points. No sour grapes.

COMPROMISE.
