just out of morbid curiosity... would the addition of pattens or barbers points have changed the outcome of this game? i ask seriously having no idea as i never looked into this team or game due to the fact i went into a brief coma from lee evans scoring me a touchdown...

What is it about MB's that brings the smart ass out in people. Maybe you can explain to me how you and others get your jollies with statements like the above. You can blow it off as MB material if you want but I'm calling you out.
You and anyone else like you.
If you talked to someone like that in person what do you think would happen?

If you talked to someone like that in person what do you think would happen? Jeff, it's not any message board, it's THIS message board in particular that seems to bring out the worst in some people...or maybe it just brings out some of the worst people, I'm not sure. Maybe some would put me into that category, but I challenge them to show where I have EVER attacked anyone (other than a few specific run-ins with a few specific individuals), but it seems like it's the "way of the land", so to speak around here. And whenever someone like yourself points it out, the response is usually something like: "This is a FF board isn't it? Am I not politically correct enough for you? Stop being a p*ssy! Etc..." It's funny cause I've spoken to a couple of buddies on these boards about this same issue and they notice the same exact thing. We have our theories as to why it is this way here, but that's another topic.

Okay, enough piling on now. It's obvious that Lou tried to reach out to us and get this resolved. I wish we would have responded sooner. I'm sure he's not alone in thinking that the Flex position could be adjusted and I'll take the blame for not having this set up properly to begin with. We'll see if we can adjust this and move on.

Lou doesn't deserve bashing for stating the facts. Bring it my way if you want because the Flex position wasn't set up to be flexible enough. Again, we are trying to allow as much game management in the NFFC as possible and that should include the Flex position. I'll take the blame on this, so let's move on.

For now, everyone should realize that once you put a player in the Flex position, you can't move him to another position AFTER the game. That's the way the system is currently set up. So enough of the piling on and let's get this right.

Lou's team did earn a win this week, but obviously total points is at stake and each point counts. But it did not affect the h2h result.

Louis,

Marion Barber can not replace Torry Holt. You already had Chris Chambers (who locked
on Friday) in as your WR/RB/TE, and you would have had to bench Willie Parker in
order to start Marion Barber, as Priest Holmes locked as well.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

How's this. 1 last time.

I have bolded my e-mail time.

And their response time.

Had they responded in a timley manner. I may have been able to place Patten in my lineup,
instead of fighting with a system.

ONLY A FEW SEEM TO KNOW HAS A PROBLEM.

I should get Pattens points. No sour grapes.

COMPROMISE.

3'
Lou
I see what you were facing and what you were trying to do and so do all those who disagree with you as this is just TOO obvious.
We pay good old American dollars to play this game and a 4 1/2 hour response time on the day that most games are played is simply unacceptable.

Stats and of course the Krause staff do a good job but this isn't right IMO. We applaude the customer service most of the time Greg. For me, this isn't one of those times. Lou should get Pattens points because as everyone can PLAINLY see from his e-mail time he was trying to work it out and got ZERO help when it counted.

I ask you this question Greg, what else was he supposed to do other than what he did?

I'm actually ashamed to be associated with some of the jarheads posting on this thread who have made this seem like life and death. If it happened to them, they'd want someone to give a damn. This is about customer service - not rules.

I put Gonzalez at FLEX, should have put Troupe.

Locked is locked.

Locked was locked Week 1. Why no complaints then?????????

After the MIA/KC game started, I realized "I" had goofed up.

It has always been very clear to me that FLEX is a SEPARATE lineup position based on the rules that even 3Int posted.

The Stats program is very clear. EVERY RB, WR, and TE has another munu option of RB/WR/TE.

To think that you could change after they have kicked off is ABSURD.

But, I probably won't here from them now.....

3' Flex is a position. There would be a far greater outcry if Greg went backwards and gave you points for complaining because you didn't understand this. Anyone who ever had this problem, this year and last year, would then demand points be reinstated to their team. That can't and won't happen.

I do agree, however, that if it could be changed going forward, it should be.

Sorry I can't agree with you on this one, RC, as we have 22 weeks of precedence here that can't be ignored although some would like to. Even though I am for what Lou wants and Greg intended, mid-season is no time to be playing with software. I'm with you 100%, Greg, but risking blowing up everything at this point in the season for one person who may or may not have fallen asleep at the wheel is not worth it IMO. Save this for next season.
