Much appreciated. sigh...now you are just getting into semantics.....
In direct answer to your question: NO, I can't point out where the word FLEX appears on the set lineup page in our leagues because the word FLEX does not appear.
What does appear in both the rules and the set lineup page is a position referenced as RB/WR/TE. The lineup rules and the software both make the DISTINCTION between an individual RB, WR or TE and a RB/WR/TE position for lineup purposes. It is this very DISTINCTION that I have based many of my past arguments around.

I didn't get his message and apparently STATS didn't until after kickoff, too.
The only thing he could have done differently was put Patten into his WR spot in place of Holt right away when he knew Holt was out. The computer would have allowed that change. That's the only thing he could have done differently and he would have gotten 7+ points for it. Unfortunately, after he initially put Chambers in the Flex spot he couldn't have gotten Barber into his lineup under any circumstance and even reaching me wouldn't have helped that situation. He had no room for another RB.
He didn't know that and I apologize for that. This thread has explained it pretty fully. Lou brought a glitch to my attention, I've apologized for that, and the fact that I wasn't here when he called, and we'll try to cure the problem. I wish I could give him 7+ points for Patten and make it right, but it's not fair to everyone else who may have fallen into the same situation at some point over the last 22 weeks. The best thing is to fix the setup to allow more game management by our owners, stop blaming any owner for the problem and make sure everyone knows going forward that the Flex is a set position as we have it set up online.
Will that end the discussion? Probably not.

Much appreciated. Well, this is in the rules:
5. Starting Lineup Requirements: Starting lineups will consist of:
* 1 Quarterback
* 2 Running Backs
* 3 Wide Receivers
* 1 Tight End
* 1 Flex Player (RB, WR or TE)
* 1 Kicker
* 1 Team Defense/Specials Team
Since (RB, WR, or TE) is listed above, and I see it on pull down menus of any RB, WR, or TE, I can deduct that this is for the flex position.
Also, to the right on the lineup menu,
POS STARTERS MAX
QB 1 9
RB 2 10
WR 3 11
TE 1 9
DST 1 9
K 1 9
WR/RB/TE 1 9
Lastly, after you play one week, you'd see that the "flex" player is always listed at the bottom of the active lineup.
So why do you need to see the actual word flex?

just to clarify...you sent your initial e-mail to STATS at 11:19am, and you thought about switching Holt to a WR at 12:57pm(approximatly). is that a fair statement? [/QUOTE]GG- you are just what I stated before. Someone who picks out convenient PARTS of a discussion, then argues that part. Kinda like a little kid who would just like to be right all the time.
Yes, I waited. Because I expected a response. Time goes by, and before I know it. I am in a mad scramble and writing post # whatever.
I was trying to do what I was supposed to do, ask for help.
Instead I end up called names and my intelligence questioned. Which is laughable.
It should be made right.

Help! Right now w/ Lineup submission!!
Just when i think I was out...... they drag me back in!
I have come out of my semi-retirement to say:
How can anyone possibly think you should be able to move a player around who has already played their game. SILLY SILLY SILLY. Once a player's game starts, the player and his position LOCK.
Thank you.
See y'all next year!

(Although the NFFC is generally outstanding in all areas of customer service, I think that this is obviously an area for improvement. Someone needs to be on call with a red "Commissioner Gordon" phone so that when there is a Batman issue, the city of Gotham does not burn for 5 hours without response). Okay, I'll address this thought on a positive note. As you know, John, we're on call for 26 Sunday's during the baseball season for callups, too. I'm usually in the office most Sunday's, but obviously there are times when I'm not available and guys need to reach me. I'll get an official "Commissioner Gordon" hotline (cell phone) for both the NFFC and NFBC and let you guys ring me for emergencies during the season. You are correct, it's time to stop passing the blame to our stats provider and instead take care of this ourselves. I'll get it done and be on call for every possible scenario.
I may need to ask for a raise for being on call, but I'm sure there's room in the budget to make that happen! Holy Hotline, Batman, it's time to get this done.

So we're talking about 7+ points -- not a win or a loss -- and I think we just move on and correct the problem for the future.
Not everyone on these boards will join us, though!

Greg
Thanks for providing a venue where we can excorcise our freedom of speech rights, although you must've done something really wrong to be stuck in the middle of so many egos and so much testoserone! In the end this will help refine the best game in the industry.
Seriously, this is a good group of independant thinkers who will be around when this thing is running by itself. You may have to view it from a "special home" as you twirl your thumbs and stare blankly out the window though.
OK I'm done here - unless someone pisses me off of course.
