Post-Lockout Thread (Free Agency, Trades, Camps Let's Talk About It)

I closed the other thread since that's all history. Now it's about looking forward with the lockout officially over. Post your thoughts here and we'll also use this for discussion about free agency, trades and everything else that's going to happen. This should be the wildest week the NFL has ever seen.

As I posted on Twitter, I feel no obligation to thank anyone for this coming to an end considering how a lockout never should have happened in the first place. However, I am glad that the NFL is back.

FINALLY.

With all due respect to my esteemed colleagues in the media please stop with the Winners and Losers stories.

NOBODY won here. EVERYONE lost. If you want to say some teams may not have lost as much as others that's fine. But there were no winners here just as no one is deserving of congratulations for ending something that should never have happened in the first place.

Here's the tentative timetable:

• Monday: Teams can go to 90-man rosters and the official free-agent list will be distributed to teams.

• Tuesday: Trades can commence. Teams can sign rookies and undrafted free agents beginning at 10 a.m. ET. Teams can reach agreements with all free agents and signed players are allowed to enter team facilities.

• Wednesday: Players can begin reporting to training camps 15 days before their first preseason games. New York Jets and Houston Texans would be the last two teams to report, on Sunday.

• Thursday: Teams can begin to cut players at 4 p.m. ET.

• Friday: Teams can begin to file free-agent signings to the league office at 6 p.m. ET.

• Aug. 4: Deadline for recertification and ratification of the collective bargaining agreement by the players.

First major (or semi-major) roster move comes from Baltimore where the Ravens have told Willis McGahee that he will be released. Baltimore lacks a proven backup for Ray Rice so it will be interesting to see if they try to re-sign McGahee for a lower price or find another backup elsewhere.

Tom, McGahee is one of my sleepers this year depending on where he lands. I can see him being him a number 1 somewhere. If the Ravens don't re-sign him for less, where do you see him landing?

the Todd Heap move is really suprising. He was pretty good last year.. 4.6mil, not overly expensive. very suprising.
