Tom, all you need is for Plax to sign with the Giants and take Manningham's spot and you'll be opening that second bottle today. Lol

Plax would be a TD ***** in the redzone... He would kill Nicks & Manningham's possible TD production...

Still think the Giants should keep Bradshaw. He's better than any FA back available. I don't think they trust Jacobs to be their only feature back. And I still can't believe the Dolphins would draft Thomas and then pay a free-agent to come and push Thomas to the bench for the next few years. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. [/QUOTE]I don't think Thomas is that talented of a RB. Miami being interested in the top 2 backs in free agency confirms that for me.

If that's the case, then the Dolphins blew a second-round pick in the draft. Not sure how they could've come to that conclusion without a single practice, though.

Well, in fairness to the Dolphins I came up with that conclusion.
They are just making my case stronger by being in the mix for D-Will and Bradshaw. Some would say that with BJGE and Woody the Pats didn't need a RB in the 2nd RD. I think with the uncertainty of free agency because of the lock out, teams drafted more on need/ filling roster spots more than ever before.

I think BJGE is vastly underrated but I'm not one to question Bill Belichick.
I just think if you draft a skill position player in the second round you do so because you believe he can be a starter. And if it's a RB - typically the easiest position for a rookie to come in and start at - then you're generally thinking that he can start immediately, especially if you're a team that needs a starting RB. Miami qualifies on that count.
I like Bradshaw so I understand Miami's interest from a talent perspective. But Thomas comes in with the skill set of a potential feature RB. Maybe he doesn't become one but it seems clear the Dolphins believe he can be one, otherwise why use a second-round pick on him? So if you believe he can be a feature back, why throw huge FA money at another feature back? I don't get that. That makes me wonder if Bradshaw is using the Dolphins as leverage to get a better deal from the Giants.

If that's the case then Bradshaw is more valuable to the Giants than the Dolphins. Which then would mean that he would not be able to get as much $$ from the Dolphins than he could from the Giants in the first place. If I was Bradshaw's agent, I would be using the Bengals to drive up the price.

I've been saying for some time now that Jordy Nelson was being seriously over-valued in drafts. Well, according to my friend and former colleague Jason Wilde, the Packers are making an attempt to re-sign James Jones. If that happens, Nelson's fantasy value goes poof.
