Michael Finley reported to camp leaner, but still didn't participate in the first practice:

Ryan Grant participated fully and first round pick Derek Sherrod started out at LG for the Packers. Pretty interesting move. I like it.

He needs to stay healthy, but there's a lot of potential there and Bradford may finally have a No. 1 WR to work with. That could also mean James Jones is more likely to return to the Packers. The Vikings appear to be out after signing Michael Jenkins (and boy do their WRs stink other than Harvin). [/QUOTE]You gotta wonder what the hell the Vikings are thinking?
Michael Jenkins as a replacement for Sidney Rice??? Since Harvin will most likely struggle with double coverage, struggles on the outside, and he aruably has one of the most inaccurate QB's of all time (McNabb) on the short and intermediate routes, If Percy Harvin was getting migraines last year, he might actually start drinking before the games this year!!
What is preventing teams putting 8 in the box on EVERY play to slow down Peterson?
I could cover Michael Jenkins 1 on 1.

I Tweeted yesterday that in two years time the Vikings could go from being on the verge of the Super Bowl to last in the NFC North. Their WR situation is horrendous. I agree that Harvin did not show he could be a strong No. 1 WR last season when Rice was out. It was when Moss arrived that Harvin busted out. I like Harvin but I've soured on him from a fantasy perspective due to the lack of talent around him.
I'm not worried about Peterson. He's proven he can be a stud with awful QBs and suspect skill position talent in the past. I don't think McNabb is awful (though he is in decline). I think Peterson will be his usual self. In fact, his receptions could be strong since McNabb has never been shy about checking down to his RBs.

I think we'll be seeing plenty of this in Minnesota:

Pro Football Talk just Tweeted that the Redskins may make a play for Ahmad Bradshaw. I've been waiting for this to happen. Snyder loves spending on free agents and I'm sure they wouldn't mind putting a serious hurt on a division rival in the process as well.
The Giants really need to re-sign Bradshaw. Other than Ronnie Brown (who's on the Rams' list along with Snelling), I don't see a semi-decent starting-caliber RB left in free agency.

Snelling's an interesting option. Sounds like the Rams may have made him an offer. He'd be a nice fit there since they badly need a backup for SJax.
I never considered Tiki to begin with so I can't forget about someone who was never worth considering in the first place.

James Jones back with the Packers. Nice move by Thompson to add further strength to an already strong receiving corps. I've thought for months people were getting way ahead of themselves with Jordy Nelson and this move should put a cap on some of that enthusiasm. Jones is the superior talent and the leading candidate to be the team's No. 3 WR although Nelson will get snaps there as well.

Cedric Benson back to the Bengals, ESPN.com is reporting.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/68217 ... ources-say
This was expected and was factored into his early draft spots, but there's a lot to figure out in Cincinnati. Getting Benson for $3 million leaves them with a lot of money to spend to get UP to the salary cap level. It should be interesting to see how they do it.

You may have missed it, Greg: the 95% cap minimum spend doesn't kick in until 2013. Thus, expect Mike Brown to remain his usual cheap self for this year and next.
