I haven't been following the story very closely but I have a big problem with the idea of making the Saints an "example" in this case. I believe many teams had practices like this going on in some way. I am not a fan of picking out one team and destroying them to send a message.

Just draw a line in the sand starting NOW that says going forward this isn't allowed and lets get back to NFL football. Lets get back to the combines, the draft, free agency and next season.

This kind of bs irritates me.

This kind of bs irritates me. The Saints were warned of this specific practice of putting a bounty on players, last year. The Saints continued to do it. Perfect team to make an "example" of. Maybe there are other teams that are doing it, but the Saints and Gregg Williams have been specifically warned and they ignored the warning.

Wow, I have been following the headlines but just read up on the whole Saints thing. The problem for the Saints and all involved isn't as much the paying players for big hits, clean hits, that thing goes on at all levels of the game in some manner. Stickers on the helmet in college, stuff like that. Their problem is when the NFL came asking questions the first time they looked them in the eye said no idea what you are talking about. Then there is this Ornstein cat. Two time convicted felon, once working for the NFL and scamming them out of over $350,000 and then doing time for selling fake authentic jerseys and reselling super bowl tickets he said was going to charity. Oh yea, he was the guy who gave Reggie Bush all the money and hooked his parents up in college. Anyway, this guy FUNDS the bounty program and sends emails to Payton about it, Him and Payton are best friends too. Here Sean, its $10,000 for the players who take guys out. In the email. Its the lies and the fact it wasn't even funded in house. Payton and Williams both get a year is my call.
