Who's going to be the offensive rookie of the year?

They need more depth, but one guy to watch is Smiley, the second-round pick. The Niners are very high on him.

Of course if Kurt Warner gets hurt in Week 1 again, maybe it'll be Eli Manning.

My vote is for K. Jones too. I drafted him in my dynasty league and as of right now he's my starting HB. Ricky Williams used to be :(

What do you think of trading for M. Faulk? I'd have to give up an IB like Earl Holmes or OT Rosenthal and maybe a draft choice of some sort.

You have offensive lineman in your league? How do you get points for that?

Faulk personally scares the beejesus out of me. You know he won't play a full season and all of the off-season talk about his knees does not inspire a lot of confidence. The flip side is when he's on the field he's still capable of some big fantasy games as he showed down the stretch last season. In our second issue of Fantasy Sports Magazine, I wrote a story about wild cards who could make or break your season and Faulk was right there at the top of the list.

Without knowing how important the players you mention are in your specific league, it's difficult for me to answer your question, JB. If you were desperate for RB help, taking a flyer on Faulk might be worth it. But be prepared for the inevitable injury to strike.

Offensive lineman get points for how many points are scored by that team. So you basically just want lineman on high scoring teams. Also, if they recover a fumble or catch a tipped pass you would get points as well but that's kinda rare.

It boils down to whether or not I want K. Jones as my starting back. I don't have much depth with Ricky gone. Anthony Thomas, Buckhalter, & Chris Perry are my other backs. This is a 16 man league and you start 11 offensive positions and 11 defensive positions.

Interesting. It's always cool to hear about different types of leagues. As far as your lineup, given who you have at RB I probably would make a move for Faulk. I don't know how valuable those players you mention are, however, so I can't say if it's a fair trade based on the scoring in your league. But in terms of bolstering your RB depth, getting Faulk is probably worth looking into.

You only start 1 RB so depth isn't that big of a deal. You start basically an entire team. For example, on offense you start 1 qb, 1 rb, 1 te/fb, 3 wrs, & 5 lineman. It is definately interesting...AND FUN!

Even with a 1-RB league, I'd probably want to have someone I felt a little safer with than Kevin Jones at this time. Faulk's risky, but if you only need to start 1 RB that should minimize the damage when he gets hurt.
