I've been prepping since I got back from the NFBC. Does that count?

Gekko, just out of curiosity, why would you plan on doing less prep work this far out. When all is said and done a busy schedule may not allow for as much time as you would like, but I'm trying to understand why you would automatically plan for this. My guess is the focus on baseball is contributing to this...which makes 100% sense since you're in the mix for a nice finish this year. let me clarify, me saying i'll be doing less prep in 08, still means that i'll be doing more prep than most of you out there. i just won't turn it into a full-time job like in year's past.
specifically...it doesn't seem to matter how much time i put into researching/evaluating/projecting kickers or defenses. There's usually a couple better ones available off the waiver wire or the last 2 rounds of the draft. No need to pump in 20+ hours doing this. i'll just grab the consensus grouping, spend an hour and make some tweaks, and i'll be good to go.
yes, i've alos invested in 5 NFBC teams this year. the most i've ever managed was 2. the time committment needed to keep 5 teams going is fairly significant. i'll have a better idea how taxing it will be in june/july.
btw, thanks for the kind words about my baseball team. it's looking good now, but it's only april and a lot CAN and WILL change. long season.

is that 4 weekly manage teams PLUS DC teams?

I understand the DC leagues require absolutely no time investment after the draft, but to me that takes away a lot of the fun in participating as well. Who knows...I could simply be bitter because the DC format is the one format I've experienced little to no success in the couple of years I participated.

Keeps it interesting!!
