I love the internet, but sometimes I long for the old days!! I remmember rushing to the store on Mondays, picking up a copy of the National sports Daily(remember Deford and Lupica's short lived idea) and pouring over boxscores to find out if I won.Good times, good times..

The guy has tremendous talent. What he needed was an opportunity which he got last season and then he needed to realize the opportunity that was now in front of him and work hard to keep the job. And he's done that with a strong off-season and he's having a great camp.
I don't worry about the Niners' talent on offense. First off, strange things happen in the NFL so don't be surprised if that offense is better than people think. But even if they aren't, guys like Corey Dillon and Stephen Davis have been able to put together very nice fantasy seasons without having a good passing game around them. And of course, Tomlinson and Lewis did it last year too.
Barlow guy here.

I've thought about drafting last with 14 teams and considered Greg's thought that Moss & Harrison could both be available. Do you think you'd choose them knowing that 30 or more running backs could be off the board by your next pick? The remaining backs could be so lowly that they're not really worth a third/fourth round pick.

Maybe you're right. I remember there was that guy in Detroit who put up good seasons with a bad line and no passing game

I do miss those days too...I used to cut class in college to count my points!
Around 1995-1996 stats.com partnered up with AOL and used to give the first dynamic stats and scoring on the Internet. None of my friends knew about this so they would all call me to "find out how their teams did". Got annoying pretty quick...lol

if you pick Moss/Harrison you will absolutely have to hit a longshot (and maybe 2) at running back to be competitive.

Websites make the lazy owners more aware of what is going on. You have to work harder to scoop up unknown players(if there are any anymore). At drafts, the lazy owner doesn't say "who's that" as much anymore.

chich, it really depends on your drafting strategy and preference. If you can get Moss or Harrison in a league like ours that awards 1 point/reception, that's something you have to strongly consider. But as you said, even with more depth in a big league like the NFFC and the run on RBs likely to remain strong, you may be taking a chance by waiting on that position until the 3rd or 4th round.
What I would suggest is doing a number of mock drafts on Mock Draft Central choosing from a variety of spots and using a variety of strategies. It will give you a better idea how the draft may unfold (although every draft is totally unique) and give you a stronger idea which way you'll want to go if you're picking 14th.
