Hats Off To Golden Tornado
Waz - For many people you are the GOLD standard when it comes to the NFFC Classic. Childs is the GOLD standard for most people when it comes to fantasy baseball.
i'm comparing GOLD standards. don't take that personally.

So maybe it's a bit of both? The regular season and overall points takes a lot of skill (AND some luck) to succeed, but a 3-week playoff is primarily luck (assuming you already had the skill to have a strong team), due to its short sampling size and the ill-effects of matchups, laid eggs, injuries all being amplified over such a short period?

1. H2H format
2. 3 week playoff sprint (with scores basically reset)

Then I suggest we pay the $100k to the team who is 2nd overall in points (as of week 8)!

The Golden Tornado gets some well deserved props and the thread gets highjacked. Some things never change. Too bad.

2008- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic.
2009- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic or Primetime.

let's recap:
1. Owner has three highly ranked teams.
2. Shrink Attack makes TWO posts that it is all luck.
3. I and others chime in on luck vs skill debate.
4. Rob gets his panties in a bunch and starts talking hijacks.
IMO I think it's okay to talk about luck vs skill and see what each owner thinks. they can even relate it to Golden Tornado's impressive start. and i don't need your permission, ROB, to think or say that.
please stop trying to be a MB bully. captain hook tries that stuff on the baseball MB and gets called out for it. pretty funny actually. maybe you could crunch some more data instead?

Not trying to be a bully, just pointing out the obvious.
maybe you could crunch some more data instead? Why make it personal?

Rob,
No need to pollute this thread more than you already have. Let people make posts they want. There is no hijack here.
Personally I think this guy has shown a good deal of skill by aquiring the same core group on at least two of his teams. when you hit, you hit big.
now once the playoffs start (assuming he makes it), anything can and will happen.
