Do NFFC Owners Want A Site For Mock Drafting?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Sat Aug 13, 2011 1:15 am

I know many owners are eager to start mocking for the upcoming NFFC season and as a result we're getting many full leagues for the NFFC '60s and the Slow Drafts. We'll keep running those for a few more weeks before likely shutting them down before the live events. Jump in the next couple of available leagues because those will end soon.

That being said, I'd like to offer a place where NFFC owners can mock draft using our scoring system and Third Round Reversal format. During the first six years of the NFFC we struck a deal with Jason and Geoff over at MockDraftCentral.com to get you on their gratis. It was a great place for folks to mock draft and the ADPs were helpful before Draft Day. We did have our own mock draft site last year, although we never generated enough traffic to make it useful to owners.

I'm now trying to get back with MDC.com to give folks a platform where they can draft and hone their skills in different areas of the draft. As you find out your draft picks, I'm sure many of you will want to mock draft from that spot before the big day. Is this something you'd be interested in if we can work it out? Should we continue to pursue this for NFFC members?

I'll get busy and hopefully get folks mocking early next week. Let me know what you think and we'll get it done. Or are you good without this? Say the word and we'll get busy. Thanks all.

Yes, I sure do Greg! I had upgraded my MDC account so that I could host some 3RR drafts. But then when I ran the first one - and it didn't reverse - I contacted support. They told me that option wasn't available for MOCKS, but just for real drafts. So they're going to refund my $4.99.

So, yes, please make this happen ASAP and I for one will greatly appreciate it. Hopefully over the next month we can generate enough 3RR mocks to get some meaningful ADP data.

Thank you.

Yes, MDC.com can create 3RR for us and create a category called NFFC to get a good ADP. I think we can get all of that done next week if I commit soon. Thanks for the feedback Mike and I'll keep all of that in mind going forward.

Yes I think this is a great idea Greg. I have used MDC in the past for this. But last year they seemed to get away from NFFC style drafts with 3RR. But according to The sandman there back in line. If we can get enough real nffc drafters to fill a league on there it could be helpful.

I always enjoyed the mocks on MDC, but the $60's have been fun and probably better info than the mocks could ever be. JMO

Mocks are great, but what about the primetime 12?

We need an option for those as well

Plus we still don't have an adp for any 12 team leagues at all.
its nice to be the master

Plus we still don't have an adp for any 12 team leagues at all. I will talk to MDC.com about creating a 12-team Primetime mock ADP as well with Third Round Reversal. I'm pretty sure we had that before on there. We'll see if that's possible.

We were going to break out the 12-team Primetime ADPs once we had five leagues worth of data. I think we've now had 5-6 Online Championships and NFFC '60s of 12 teams, so I'll ask IT to set that up for us on Monday. I agree, we want to have two sets of ADP; we just didn't have enough drafts at first to do that.

Coming soon. Thanks.
