Tom, I'll keep shooting until you say NO MAS.

Darrell Jackson has found himself the starting, #1 WR in Denver thanks to Brandon Marshall's suspension. Does he have anything left in his tank? Personally, I think he's a ticking timebomb for an injury, but would like your take.

I'm not big on DJax. I wasn't impressed with what I saw from him last season and yes I realize Alex Smith is pretty awful. I think the Seahawks knew what they were doing when they gave him away to a division rival. I think the Broncos are in huge trouble to open the season. If teams load up to stop their running game, I'm not sure Cutler has the weapons to make them pay through the air.

Tom,

Last one...

Everyone has bumped Cotchery, Coles, Favre and T.Jones...But what do you think happens to Leon Washington's value with Favre in town?

Until we see clear signs the Jets are going to use him more I'm keeping his value the same. I love the guy but the Jets refused to use him last season in ways that I believe would help their offense. I'm not sure anything's going to change this season.

we going to get to 70 in our pool? Bill, I've got 52 signups now, with just over 20 paid...

I would say we'll have between 60-70. The hardest part from here on in, is getting everyone to send their checks in. I don't have the luxury of swiping everyone's credit cards like Tom and Greg. I'm doing it the old fashioned way...I will start email everyone, and lighting a fire under their butt to send out payment. Everyone signed up is good for it, but I can't start the contest until I've got money in hand. It wouldn't be fair to everyone.

So let's see how the next 2 weeks go, and we'll take it from there. This is going to be a GREAT contest, and a lot of fun. I run this so 1-Everyone can enjoy the NFL that much more, and 2-Maybe the winnings from this contest roll over into some entries into the 2009 Main Events...It should be good business for everyone. I just do it because I want to play, and WIN of course...lol...
I think Nag and Leroy's want in but only if the money is in a sealed vault backed by the US gold standard. Also, if you've ever coached hockey that's a deal killer. :D

Anyone is welcome to join...

And I only played hockey 3-4 times in my life. NEVER coached. Unless you count the NHL Sega games where I coached my Chicago Blackhawks to 2 consecutive Stanley Cups, back in 1995! Jeremy Roenick was unbelievable!

OK gang I'm checking out for the night. Thanks for all of the questions. We'll do more of these evening chats in the days and weeks to come.

See you all soon.

What's up with Engram? Is he going to play, or is he still whining about his contract? The guy is their #1 WR, but he may not even show up. Any new news? He's been practicing. So things are looking fine there. I'm not worried about him and I think he remains a very nice value pick in drafts.

As far as Johns, I don't know the address offhand. But it's a pretty famous place. Great pizza.
You guys sound like that M*A*S*H episode when they ordered ribs from Adam's Ribs in Chicago and then forgot the cole slaw!! :D

Believe it or not, in 1981 in college we saw that episode and actually did the same thing, ordering ribs from Adam's Ribs and had an old friend deliver it to us. There really is an Adam's Ribs and it was damn good. We forgot the cole slaw, too!!

Back to the regular show. I'm trying to catch up to the chat.
