In most cases if you increase the decisions, you increase the ability to demonstrate skill.

If you really want to take the luck out as much as possible then look for large leagues, larger rosters, no trading, measurable scoring events (for example tackles versus safeties-when a team intentionally takes a safety at the end of a game and this gives points to a Team Defense-ug!), flex positions and more starters (not lumping start 2 QB leagues here but thinking more along the lines of IDP)

(Here comes a hand grenade)

That is why IDP is a better "skill" event than a single defensive team. Using IDP would introduce more skill if owners have to decide on drafting/starting a DL, LB and DB.

And yes most players do not want to do IDP because they are not familar with it. Another way for someone who does know about defenses to demonstrate their skill.

Cannot wait for 2008 FF season.

I actually thought IDP would have worked its way into Main events by now.

Watching your DEF player is quite fun.

They are covered more and more in Mags, and have been for years.

I think the change will come sooner than later...DEF/SP TEAM is too simple and primative to remain the more popular form of play for much longer IMO.
