Yup, you are correct. They assumed since we did this in the NFFC that we would allow moves up until that players' game time. So you are free to change your players from today's four teams five minutes until game time. As John said, nobody can view your roster so I don't see this as being a bad thing, although I had told people we were locking them before the first kickoff. If you get an update on one of your guys before gametime, move him out but obviously you'd need to replace him with someone from that team.
Okay, John, I'll remember not to run any more contests that don't have live scoring or live updates. How foolish of me. I don't really care about live stats, but updated standings each day an hour or two after final game should be expected. Even the way it is now, they could show us standings on our locked players.
The software should be 100% tested before play starts.
Thanks for getting right on it... [/QUOTE]The software has been tested the last three weeks. There's nothing wrong with it. You of all people should know why there's not live scoring.
Good luck to all and we'll have fun with the numbers tomorrow morning and take a look at how many teams have which top stars.

In response to your answer to the first entry, no the contest is NOT running smoothly. Trades are being accepted even though rule 8 and yourself (in a previous post) state that no trades are allowed after the first kickoff.
What should happen,if able, is that all trades after the deadline should be negated and reversed to the team before the deadline.

Bob, the Edit button from each team was removed around 10 a.m. CST yesterday, so rosters were locked for yesterday's games. I'm sure some guys wish they could have taken Carson Palmer out of their lineups, but it didn't happen. Nobody gained an advantage by making a last-minute decision before Saturday's late game.
The program now has all lineups locked before the first game of each weekend's games going forward. You'll see that happen on Saturday morning. Good luck everyone.

In my opinion, obtaining an advantage or disadvantage should not be a bases for your decision of enforcing your own contest rules. But this is just my opinion.
If people would have gotten an advantage would you then have enforced your contest rule and reverse the trades. If so, then it should be a two way street.

What advantage was gained here?
Maybe a few guys were able to swap guys that played on Sunday only. Where's the advantage?
I doubt anyone made a change anyways just for Sunday. There was no reason to.

UFS, I'll try to help you out here. Your missing the point. The point is the rules state no trades are allowed after the first kickoff. Trades were made after the first kickoff. Having a game where the rules are not followed once the game begins is not good practice. This really doesn't have anything to do with advantages and disadvantages. It has to do with the rules say no trades after the first kickoff. Trades were made. Correcting the error can be done and it should not be based on advantages or disadvantages.

Bob, we checked our records and not a single owner made a lineup change from Saturday morning to Sunday morning. Thanks for catching our mistake as our programmer thought we were allowing moves like the NFFC regular season, but now it's a moot point. NOBODY made a lineup change and there's nothing to change back. So everyone is on the same page now and the best team will win. Good luck.

Greg, thanks for the clarification, however, you may want to recheck your records because I made a change after the deadline putting Palmer in taking Manning out, putting James in and taking R. Johnson out. This is how I know that changes were made after the deadline.
And, we agree on one thing let's move on as this has become a moot point.
