Who Is Competing In Both Main Events?

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Fri Aug 22, 2008 8:45 am

I'm glad to announce that Edward Killmer of Tampa, Florida has become our 152nd team to join both NBC Sports NFFC main events as he was a last minute signup today. Ed is the only player to have finished in the Top 10 in the same year in both the NFFC and WCOFF and he's been a Charter Member of the NFFC since 2004. It took him some time to clear off his work schedule, but now Ed is coming on board for both ends of the main event doubleheader. Great stuff Ed and best of luck in the hunt for the $1 million bonus.

Wow, we've added two more NFFC veterans to the doubleheader, giving us 155 teams in line for the $1 million bonus. Let's give it up for the tag team of Marc Quitsch and Eddy Betancourt of Staten Island, New York as they added the second half of the NBC Sports NFFC main event doubleheader to their weekend of fun. Marc just couldn't resist the 14-teamer, could he? :D Nah, actually this is the year of 8's and Marc knows that $1 million prize has his name written all over it. Welcome back Diesel my friend.

And speaking of good friends jumping in, how about Eddie Gillis of Jamestown, Rhode Island grabbing an NBC Sports team today?? Eddie is also in for the doubleheader and the $1 million bonus. welcome aboard Eddie and best of luck.

Good Luck Marc and to everyone else. I hope one of us take 1st overall in both Contests!

Dennis Cassidy is in for the Saturday doubleheader as well. That brings us to 156 teams competing for the twin $100,000 grand prizes and the $1 million bonus. Welcome aboard Dennis and best of luck.

Our NFFC veterans have really come through for us this year in the main events as we now have 157 teams signed up for the ultimate fantasy football doubleheader on Saturday, Aug. 30th among the four cities and via phone. Our latest entrant is Ron Kloeden of Milwaukee, Wisconsin as Ron grabbed a spot in Las Vegas for the NFFC Primetime main event, giving us six full leagues out there. Awesome and best of luck Ron in the hunt for the $1 million bonus.

Look for a few more names to come as a few more NFFC veterans will help us fill out the main events today.

Richard Kidd of New York City has been a solid owner in our National Fantasy Baseball Championships, but his schedule hasn't worked out in the past to do our football event. We're glad to see that changed today as he grabbed one of the last spots for the NFFC Classic main event in New York City. Welcome aboard Richard and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Tom Foster of Reisterstown, Maryland was going to split an NBC Sports NFFC Primetime team with Randy Barbour, but the water looked too good and Tom jumped into the second half of the main event today. Welcome aboard Tom and best of luck in the hunt for both $100,000 grand prizes and the $1 million bonus.

Let's keep it going folks. We're nearing the finish line.

We're glad to add another team to both ends of the NFFC doubleheader as Mike Weber of Freehold, New Jersey has added the NBC Sports Primetime main event to his weekend of fun with us. Mike and his brother Matthew are now in for both main events in Las Vegas and the $1 million prize. Thanks Mike and I'll see you on Thursday at the Flamingo.
