Please note that if there is a margin of less than 3 picks between 1st and 2nd as we approach the final weeks that we should e-mail our picks to Tom or Greg to avoid the leader “boxing out” 2nd place by picking the exact same games.

The process would be to e-mail the picks to Tom or Greg then post them on the message board at kickoff of the 1st game of the week. Tom or Greg could then verify that the picks were indeed the same. Of course there would be no changes allowed once the e-mail was sent to a Krause guy. I trust no one would try to cheat, but boxing out would be a viable strategy for the leader in the coming weeks.

Here are the lines for this week:

Cin at NE -11.5
Cle at Buf -12
NYG at Bal -10
Det at GB -10
Sea at Min -7
Oak at Atl -7.5
Chi at Jac -7.5
No at Dal -7.5
Ind -12.5 at Hou
NYJ at Pit -6
Mia at Den -12
Stl at Car -7
SF at AZ -7
Tb at Sd -5
Phi -10 at Was

No line for the KC / Ten Monday night game.

I’ll give Gordon the benefit of the doubt this week that he won’t mirror my picks to box me out of this thing and go ahead and make my selections now.

Cin +11.5: This team has heated up and is making a strong push for the playoffs. They may not win this one but they should be able to keep it closer than 11.5.

Ind -12.5: It’s a ton of points to give on the road, but the Colts may have the best offense in the history of the NFL. I like them by at least 20 in this one.

NYJ +6: Yes the Jets really are a “live dog” this week. The “Stillers” are primed for a fall.

Stl +7: No Bulger, no Faulk, no problem. The Rams MUST have this game, and they will win it outright.

Atl -7.5: The Falcons need a huge bound-back to regain playoff momentum. The Raiders should not pose much of a challenge in this one.

Gordon,

You’ve done an incredible job sniffing out the overlays so far. I’m glad you will be forced to make 15 more picks over the next four weeks. You may be looking down some mighty tight lines.

Cin +11.5 over NE - if CIN can't stay within 11, that probably means Brady is rolling. i hope

Car -7 over Stl (give nnoy a chance to make one up)

GBay -10 -- Favre and Company get to face Harrington, Streets and Detroit D, not quite the same as the McNabb, Westbrook and Owens three-headed monster.

N.O. +7.5 -- Who the hell is Dallas to lay more than a touchdown to any team that plays 11 men...even the horrid Saints.

Balt -10 -- Lots of points to lay, but Ray Lewis is foaming at the mouth. That is some bad-ass news for the other Manning. Ouch!!!

Nnoy...can you lead me to the standings link? I'm probably out of it, but I would like to see for myself. Thanks.
