Draft Slots Will Be Announced On Saturday At 11 A.M. EST

I feel confident in saying tonight that we'll have all credit cards approved by tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. EST and that we'll be able to announce the draft slots for each of the 22 main event leagues at that time. Tom and I have pulled the draft slots for Las Vegas and Chicago already and used KDS for them, and we'll pull the New York leagues tomorrow morning. We'll then check one last time with accounting and then we'll announce the picks.

For the record, the cities fell perfectly for us, even though we fell short of 350 teams. We have nine full leagues in New York (126 owners), seven full leagues in Las Vegas (98 owners) and six full leagues in Chicago (84 teams). We're up two full leagues for the main event, up one $650 auction league and up one $1,250 auction league. We had 26 satellite leagues this year and a 27th one will be held after the NFFC main event. So we're proud of 2006 and will gladly bite the bullet on giving a higher percentage payout for the main event than we wanted, but each year we get closer to 350 and one of these years we're going to get there!

I'm not going to close off the signups this weekend because we always have people who sign up at the end or even after the deadline, so I'll leave the light on in Vegas!

But it's time to get your draft picks to you and get you guys preparing for your draft spots, so that's what I plan on doing tomorrow morning. It's going to feel like Christmas Day to you guys and trust me I'll feel just as happy as you.

Let the games begin. Oh, and best of luck to all of you in the hunt for the $5,000 league prizes and the $100,000 grand prize!

*No big surprises here, but L.J. will go over $80 in all auction drafts in 2006, and Chicago Bears Defense will be drafted 1-3 rounds too early in the Main Event.
