FF Champs.com $5,000 League Draft Tonight

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Aug 26, 2004 10:40 am

Tom and I are double-teaming to represent the Fantasy Sports Magazine team in tonight's $5,000 winner-take-all FF Champs.com Challenge. Each year Ian and Jon Millman of FF Champs.com put up their own $5,000 to take on people representing some of the top fantasy companies in the industry (see how I didn't say experts). Kudos to Ian and Jon as they turned around a 3-4 team last year to win the title and keep their own $5,000 prize.

This year's league has a live draft tonight starting at 7 p.m. EST and we have the fourth pick. I think there's a way that you can watch this live draft on their site, but I'm not positive about that. Tom and I will update you on our progress and maybe even list the round-by-round picks tonight on this thread as we give you the latest results from a 12-team league that contains the WCOFF's scoring system.

Okay, we have the fourth pick in another 80 minutes. Who should we take? Let's have fun with this tonight as Tom and I are buying the beers next year in all three cities if we win this league!!! Stay tuned for draft results!

All right, so we go Palmer in the first and Vanderjagt in the second.

Can you hear that? It's the sound of $5,000 being deposited into our bank account. :D

You bastards are of no help!!!

We will take Palmer later, no matter what Tom says. We might take Faulk and Jackson, no matter what Tom says. And we might take Vanderjagt in the second round, no matter what Tom says.

Hey, Tom, I've never had you as a co-manager before. How the hell are we going to get through this without killing each other!!! Especially with 5 grand on the line! Wow, this should be fun in the office tonight.

Well I was pretty pumped about the Palmer-Vanderjagt picks in the first round, but now ...?

This draft sucks.
