NFFC Online Championship: 948 Teams, $60,000 Grand Prize

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Sep 08, 2011 9:03 am

The NFFC Online Championship season officially starts tonight as the last of 79 drafts ended a few minutes ago. THANK YOU ALL for a great, great season. The draft software worked very well and I think we have some great leagues, which first started in late July and ended today with seven drafts on the day of the NFL Opener.

Set your starting lineups with Saints and Packers players if you have them and want them tonight. All of the rest of your starters can be set before Sunday's first games. Good luck all.

The prize pool increased with every new league after 50 leagues. We guaranteed a grand prize of $60,000 when we hit 900 teams and we'll keep the grand prize at that level even though we added four more leagues. The prize money from those last four leagues will help bolster the overall prize pool for the second place overall finisher through 20th. I'll adjust the entire prize pool over the weekend and get that posted in the next few days. The entire overall prize pool increased after we hit 600 teams and we'll announce that soon. Everyone wins with the record-setting number of 948 teams.

THANKS ALL. Good luck and may the best team win the $60,000 grand prize.

Thanks for all your help this preseason Greg, Tom and Geoff. I really appreciate it and I know a lot of our players here do too! Now Go Bears, no Packers

Are you able to add ADP for the online separately? It would be fun to see after the fact. Thanks for thinking about this.

I will ask our IT department about breaking out some of this data for use later. Right now we were just trying to provide meaningful ADP data for folks to prepare for Draft Day without getting too specific. Remind me again after we're done with this weekend's drafts and FAAB and Week 1 lineups and we'll look into it.

They are still the highest in the industry at this price point per league and I think they are strong as they are. I like the 4x and 2x payout structure, so the added prizes will bump up the overall prize pool.
