Portis was in a bad situation last year and finished 10th in many fantasy rankings. Even the slightest bit of improvement could move him up to 7th or 8th. And again, there is no way in hell Patrick Ramsey will be as bad as Mark Brunell. He would have to be playing with both arms tied behind his back to that bad.

Latest report about Manning is the injury isn't too serious. He probably won't play this week.

Tom,

Which two of the following three would you choose: Ahman Green, Brian Westbrook, Steven Jackson (given that Westbrook and Green have the same bye week). Do you take the top two and punt the bye week? Or is Jackson close enough to one of the other two?

I don't believe in punting a bye week. Way too risky in my opinon. But I wouldn't shy away from talent early in a draft simply because of a bye-week issue. I'd look to grab someone at RB later who could cover a potential problem with a bye week. So having said all that I'd go with Westbrook and Green.

Tom, I saw Peerless Price is banged up again. Atlanta has no luck with their wideouts...Has there been a solid receiver since Andre Rison in Atlanta? I can't seem to remember one.

Martin and Mathis were pretty good the year they went to the Super Bowl. But other than that it's been pretty bleak.

I too agree with BAD BOYZ, I wouldnt take him in the top 10. Hard to believe he was in the top 10 last year with 5 rushing td's and a 3.8 a rush.
I wont have him in any league. THE JONES BOYS HAVE MUCH MORE UPSIDE.

Tom, you didn't chime in the other day about my 3:3 pick of Mike Anderson. Do you agree with me that taking a proven runner in a proven system is better than all of the chumps I passed up who are either on crummy teams or are in crummy situations? And that includes the obvious issue of Anderson beating out Tatum Bell.
