NFFC Trendsetters League: Setting The Trend
The beauty of the NFFC is that we have this die-hard group of fantasy football owners who think, sleep and drink football all year long. I wish I could do that because half the time I'm working on baseball or basketball or something else. Give me the Packers and NFL 24/7/365 and I'd be one happy old man!!
Another good thing about these NFFC owners is that they want to draft as soon as the NFL season is over with. They've asked me to set up a league during the off-season the past few years where they could draft in February, March and April and play out the league. I've always loved this idea because it's really the first pay league of the fantasy football season ANYWHERE and we get to have fun with these results. These are some of the best owners in fantasy football, so it's cool to see these early draft results.
And these guys are good with us evaluating their picks, so let's have some fun together with this thread and analyze a few rounds each day. Are you with me?

Okay, before getting to the first round it's important to note that this 14-team league does use Third Round Reversal, so KDS is an important part of what we do here. We allowed all 14 owners to set their KDS in early January and then ran KDS. Here are some of the quick facts:

** The average KDS preference received was 5.6, which is below average for most NFFC leagues. Nine owners got a draft choice in their Top 5, while four got one eighth or lower.
** Three owners got their first preference, three got their second preference and one got their third preference.
** The lowest KDS preferences received were 8, 9, 10 and 10.

Okay, let's look at the First Round and have some fun with this. For the members who drafted the first five rounds starting on Feb. 8, would you do thinkgs differently today? Would someone like Jamaal Charles drop out of the first round now that we've seen the Thomas Jones signing? How about other first rounders?

I agree. And if Wayne can be paired with Randy Moss on the way back, that'd be a GREAT start! Or Turner or Mendenhall, if Rob wants a RB instead.

Greg, you are a sight for sore eyes.....Football and the message boards are back and ALIVE....Hey I'm looking for a liitle Packer insight,seeing I drafted Rodgers in the 2nd round,yes 2nd QB taking...Who will win the backup job in Lambeau?Dec19th,Sunday 8.20pm, Pats vs Packers...I will watch the 1pm games at home,check lineups for the 4's and be heading to Foxboro wearing my Rodgers jersey!!!!!!

Who cares who the backup QB is? The key is drafting another OF G and T to PROTECT Rodgers. Keep that dude upright and we'll be okay. But I assume Matt Flynn will be the backup. Teddy likes that kid. If Brohm actually starts in Buffalo, that will be disastrous. Man, that dude looked AWFUL in Green Bay.
I didn't even see the NFL schedule yet. Wow, Pats-Packers in December. Awesome. That should be a good one. Lots of good matchups this year.

Reggie is a great player but in a DC I want someone that can throw up 40 points in any given week. Marshall proved last year he can dominate a game all by himself. I watched him do it against my Colts.
Wayne has too much competition for the ball...Clark - Garcon - Collie - Gonzalez - and the RB's.
