NFFC Trendsetters League: Setting The Trend

Dave Gerczak took Chris Wells at 4.09 and said: "I have a good feeling about Beanie this year. Again, they have an easy schedule and the team relied on him in games that mattered down the stretch. Beanie should be in better shape and is a goalline star. Without Warner, I can see Beanie getting close to 280-300 carries even with Hightower hanging around. Hightower is not a huge concern to me, as he has a lowly 5th round pedigree."

Matt Bayley took Jay Cutler at 4.11 and said: "most upside of QBs left on the board... might be a bit conservative going QB this early, but again I'd rather not chase after somebody later."

Jeff Clampitt took Mike Sims Walker at 4.12 and predicted he was the steal of the draft: "Who else will catch the ball for Jax. in 2010? If MSW stays out of the doghouse and plays football this year could vault him to WR1 status. If you don't believe this guy has M.A.D. potential just look at his numbers in 2009 in weeks 2-4-6-9-11 and 15. 6 games just a tick under 140 total points. That's over 23 ppg and he still had 2 other games over 13 pts.
He'll have some down weeks with MJD in town but don't fall asleep on this guy. He finished as the 22nd best WR in 2009 with 3 goose eggs added in. Steal of the draft so far for me."

Mark Moyer picked Donald Driver to end Round 4 and then took the first Rookie to start Round 5. I believe he wound up with Ryan Matthews. Here was his take at the time of the 57th overall pick: "Last season, Knowson Moreno was the Rookie 1.1 pick. He finished as RB #23 last season. I’m getting RB #21 or WR #25 off of the board. Whoever they are, they are another player that I will not get in September because they will be drafted before I am willing to draft them. I considered Fred Jackson and LeSean McCoy, but I am hoping that a good player ends up in a good situation."
