SECOND, when did this become a league of "top notch" owners???? I'm not saying there aren't quality players in this (because there are), but RC was scrambling to see who 4 or 5 of these guys even were (and yes, I realize they COULD be quality players).
the field is top notch. sorry if you (or RC) are not up on owners. thanks.
Just saying A LOT of new names, and it is in JUNE.

But seeing that you seem to need the "ego boost", I will go on record as saying that it is the best draft to date this season, OK? :D

hey fox mulder - no one is paranoid. you obviously don’t know what you are talking about. There are MANY valid reasons why to keep the results private. If you don’t know what they are, too bad. You didn’t pay, so you don’t get to see. Sorry.

If I want to share the draft results for MY team, then that is ok.
If no one is paranoid, how can you explain all of the paranoia surrounding a simple joke?? I believe you and Johnny ARE paranoid or you wouldn't have said what you did regarding this blown-out-of-proportion subject. No one gives a s**t who you guys draft, most owners like to see results to see players values, not to copy a players draft. Why would anyone copy from draft results unless they were going to copy off of last years champ?? "Hey, RI didn't win last year, but let me copy from his draft so I can fail to." Doesn't make any sense. Seriously, Johnny, you should try to get out of this mindset. Try to realize this is constructive criticism, nothing else my friend.

GG so if there are many valid reasons to keep results private, what gives you the right to display your drafted team? If every person decided to go against these so-called valid reasons and post their team, the draft results WOULD be made public. I thought you had to pay to see results?? :confused:

I remember this year Eddie posted about 4-5 players he drafted for a NFBC satellite and people FREAKED OUT. A 1/5 of his team he revealed and people thought this wasn't right. You better be careful if you are going to reveal your team, I might have to run to Greg like a pre-schooler....plus, we don't want you getting black-balled!
People do check your picks,Not saying all of them but there are guys that have no brains out there and copy you.

Johnny
But I think you would agree that MOST of the MB regulars would not copy ANYONE'S picks... yes??

I agree about the "other people" though. :D

Billy....Im still pissed about last year.Someone did copy me and I lost a league and money from that.I do think that most guys have more class and have there own ideas.Why do you think I tanked the magazine league....I went with my plan D instead of my plan A.

You have to agree that people shouldn't get to see anything that they are not part of.As for the King....Gekko and myself Why do we have big heads or what ever they say?The king is the number one guy in points and has had his plan from day one about the NFFC.Gekko has won the NFFC with someone already....And my year one was all messed up but Knew what I had to do year 2 and i am more ready then ever for year 3.Not just saying are drafts should be kept secret but like gekko says if you want your draft out there thats fine....But you would be stupid to put it out there.I think all are hard work and study time should be kept closed....Why should some guy that doesn't study and use his brain get the easy way out?

Billy.....Another example....Snake last year was telling everyone about willie parker after the main event....I was very big on parker and LJ...If snake gets into satellite league's everyone know's he wants parker in round 4-5 or what ever.Why help other guys out that think D.staley is the number one back...

Another thing i didn't like is that after the Auction is over and the draft champions they let every joe in the world get to look at are picks.I don't mind the auction....but don't put are draft champions out for 400 people to see.Thats why i haven't decided if im in or out of the draft champions yet.Love doing the draft champions but I don't know if it's worth letting everyone see.Who know's if that cost me willie in the main event.

Johnny I agree with you Johnny, that the results SHOULD NOT be posted on the MB (or wherever). However, if an individual (or a few) decide to put their draft on the board, send it to someone, etc. that is THEIR choice. I personally would not do it either, but Gekko "threatening" people is a bit over the top.

As I said earlier, this draft is in JUNE (a lot of the info will be obsolete in a month or so) AND it is a DC. You know very well RC, that people have a much different strategy in the DC than the Main.

And third, you are a PERFECT example why it is different. In this draft you pick #5, in the BillyWaz DC (almost exactly 2 months later) you pick #11. OBVIOUSLY, you are going to be drafting 2 totally different teams with those picks so far apart.

It just doesn't seem like a huge deal if someone leaks their picks in June is all.

As GLY has said repeatedly, it started out as a joke, but Gekko's "I am the authority of the NFFC" attitude and threats to "black ball" people are what has made this into such an issue IMO.

We are ALL grown men, and NO ONE likes to be told what they can, or cannot do (unless it is from the "head cheese's" (i.e Greg or Tom), but they surely wouldn't make threats .

You sometimes read stuff on the message boards , and you let it go, but sometimes you cant .I noticed the R.I. Workhorse, or jonny junkie is now telling people , gods loves you that he would have won the one hundred thousand if not for his partner.He's a little bit right , but has it backwards, yes with 2 picks a little different we would have won it.First of all we were a three headed team, the 1st pick is were it started , and johnny and shad wanted tomilson. i wanted alexander on a contract year, with the best offense line in football.Need proof in the 250.00 sat league which i won , i had the 1st pick and took alexander, only one other team i can recall did the same thing.Now the 2nd pick was round 6 , i wasnt at the table for this one , and johnny and shad took vick over brady, now to be fair about it, johnny did want brady , but they still took vick.IF we made those two simple changes , we would have one the big money.Now thats the true story, johnny dont lie, thats how it went down , and i too will never go with a partner again, unless it's a silent partner. Billy.....We are all grown men....And this is a high stakes fantasy football event.Not school.If you are talking about Gekko saying he would tell Greg or Tom,I know it was a joke on GLY part.But I would have to agree with Gekko.Maybe Gekko has worked hard to study and does not want his picks out there.or what ever reason.Im ready too go I can't wait to let the PLAN A run wild through the NFFC.Im also going to send Tom and Greg a email and see if they will hide the draft boards from the live event in NY.Thats whats holding me back from getting in right now.

EDDIE G I feel you guys, as you had a great year!

HOWEVER, I think there are A LOT of teams out there that could say "if we woulda, we coulda, we shoulda", etc.

My team wasn't even in the running, yet with 3 different picks, I too might have been in SERIOUS $$ contention;

Rd. 1 - Portis instead of Mcallister (still pi$$ed the guy infront of took Corey Dillon over McAllister, which left me with Deuce! :mad: )
Rd' 5 - Fitzgerald instead of Coles
Rd. 6 - Palmer instead of Plummer

My weekly lineup would have been;

QB- Carson Palmer
RB- Tiki Barber
RB- Clinton Portis
WR- Larry Fitzgerald
WR- Hines Ward
WR- Antonio Bryant :rolleyes:
TE- Tony GOnzalez

See what I mean? :D
