Lance made it into the KP auction playoffs with the 9th most points.
Snake,

Your my boy but come on

You know GLY should have been a playoff team.

I got screwed last year's auction, I was a great team with lots of injury. Still was higher scoring then 2-3 teams and didn't make the playoff's. It hurts even worst RC when you track your scores for the three week playoff that you should of been in. And would of cashed.
I know Johnny....same thing happened to me last year.
RC,

Where you plan on drafting next year?????

Chicago again???? You , Me and Billy should meet up in Vegas :D
Having someone win a H2H league SIMPLY by avoiding a certain player or two simply is not right.
This WILL and always has happened. You are OK with it if it happens randomly but not if someone uses it as a strategy.

I don't really see the difference. The same draft slots will get the charity whether chosen from a KDS sheet or drawn out of a hat.

If the advantage truely is there (not much) then I'd rather see it benefit the owner who used it rather than the lucky numb nut that didn't know who E.Graham was going into the draft.
This hasn't happened as a pre draft strategy until KDS.

Yes, I'm ok with random because that is a level playing field. No one is gaining a slight advantage before the draft. Nobody is greatly enhancing the chance they win a game when the #1 pick is on bye.

Others threads on this page are complaining about not making the playoffs because #9 made it and they were #5 in points. This is no different, and even worse because h2h is very important here.

KDS lists are going to become more similar every year if NFFC schedule manipulation is part of KDS strategy, thus making them less important each year.

Shouldn't the draft be about GETTING players instead on AVOIDING them? LOL.

The game is better served in the long run leaving strategy to judging of player talent, and not manipulating anything else, whatever it may be.
There is absolutely no advantage to be gained during the draft knowing that you've avoided playing (as an example) the LT2 team. Route C is 100% correct when he says that since 1 of the 14 teams will randomly be the one to avoid the LT2 team, why not allow it to part of strategy when setting the KDS, if someone wants to use it.

And personally, I WELCOME the owner who is setting his KDS primarily to avoid a specific player in my league. As a matter of fact, I'd like to play against 13 owners who think this way.

JohnZ, just to play Devil's Advocate to your point, it seems even more unfair if the LT owner this year also got the benefit of luck in a random schedule draw and didn't have to play the 1.03 slot.

Therefore, this example would have allowed the LT owner the chance to miss playing a Gore or Westbrook, therefore giving an even greater perceived advantage when drafting at 1.01.

John....you know I like you and respect your opinion. I think we both want to improve the game.
We just see this a little differently. It's not that high on my priority list. It ranks right below limiting snakes daily posts (kidding)

Honestly I'd rather see:

19 roster spots
Alter the auction qualifiers
1.5 or 2x average scores handicapping playoffs

To me...these things would improve an already good game.

Johnny

Vegas is a real possibility for 2008. Fla is also under consideration.

Your chances of beating the LT go UP BEFORE THE DRAFT even starts simply because you KNOW you're not going to be playing against an elite player.

If it WAS NOT an advantage, why would Route C be arguing for this STRATEGY?
