Has NFFC Picked a place for 2012 Vegas Draft?

With both of the other places advertising the locations in vegas that they will draft from, has NFFC made a decision on this as well?

Are we back at the same location as last year?
its nice to be the master

I hope all locations, dates, events, etc. are announced soon.

Once baseball is under way, I imagine we will hear something.

Suggestion to STATS....hire someone to run football (just football) during the baseball push. NFBC is THE BEST, but no doubt that the NFFC is put on the back burner, and they get out of the gate a little slower.

Greg and Tom can only do so much!!! :D

Greg and Tom can only do so much!!! :D No worries guys. It's hard to announce something if you don't have things finalized. We are definitely able to juggle both contests at once, but this year was unique because we really have different plans to announce and they took some time to go through all of them and finalize them. You will see what I mean tomorrow when we announce our major contests. Yes, we are ready to announce the 2012 NFFC tomorrow once we wrap up one last item.

And as for Las Vegas, we are hosting the NFBC over the next two weekends at the Bellagio. We have space allocated for Labor Day weekend, which isn't a problem and we will most likely host the First Weekend there. I will know more about the Second Weekend's live events after meeting with them and one other hotel while in Las Vegas. I can't finalize the location for that weekend just yet, but hopefully it stays the same. I'll know more shortly.

Again, next year likely will be quicker with our NFFC announcements. Baseball didn't really hold anything up, even though we are having just an incredible fantastic baseball season. We had to really figure out our prize payouts and goals for football this year. We all know what the landscape looks like and what some folks are promising this year as a new contest, so we had to be smart. And I think you'll really like our announcements tomorrow.

I'll post the 2012 NFFC schedule and plans tomorrow for the NFFC Classic, Primetime and Online Championship. I hope you like what we have to offer in 2012. I feel VERY confident in what we have to offer this season and I know it will be our best NFFC season ever.

We will be in Las Vegas Aug. 31-Sept. 2 for the First Weekend of events and Sept. 6-8 for the Second Weekend of events. Heck, I'll be there all week and we will host Supers, Classics and Primetimes anytime you folks want.

We will be on the East Coast both weekends, if we can find the right venues. Manhattan has been incredibly tough for Labor Day weekend and the following weekend, so we are looking just outside the city. But we hope to have some options for you both weekends. That's the goal.

I was going to announce this separately, but we do have a deal completed already with the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Chicago. They are allowing us to be flexible with our dates for the draft, but right now space is reserved for Sept. 7-8. We can switch to Labor Day weekend if needed, but right now I really think the Second Weekend is our best bet to grow Chicago and give our Midwest drafters the best dates to compete for the Classic and Primetime overall titles. We hope have something in the works that will help us spread the word about the NFFC and we truly hope that we'll recruit many new owners to our live contests in 2012 and that includes Chicago.

Online options will be available both weekends and during the week. Again, look for more details in a few weeks, but those dates and locations seem pretty solid. Thanks all for your patience and we'll have more details soon.

NFFC owners should also know that many of the new enhancements we'll have this season have already been tested and implemented in our NFBC contest. They include:

A Countdown for all of our contests, showing you exactly how many spots are left for each contest and each date and time of the contests. Here's how it looks for baseball right now:

http://nfbc.stats.com/baseball/contest_ ... oduct=1087

A new widget in the right hand rail of the home page that shows remaining spots of the next available draft. Tom and I can now update this immediately to direct folks to the next contest that will sell out. This will be extremely helpful with the Online Championship in August and September. Check it out here at the top of the right hand NFBC rail:

http://nfbc.stats.com/baseball/home/nfbc/index.asp

We are also unveiling Live Standings for our NFBC overall contests this year and that will also be unveiled for the NFFC overall standings for the Classic, Primetime, Slow Draft Championship. This will be a nice addition to the NFFC.

Other items will be coming, but we're working hard on all of this and already implementing some of it in baseball. Look for all of this soon.

Now, I do have to catch a flight to Las Vegas. Tonight when I get settled in, I'll post our details for our 2012 contests. Look for that later tonight. Thanks all.

Greg - anything new to report on the Vegas site for the 2nd weekend? I know we have lots of time, but curious minds like to know...

Giants Vs. Cowboys the first game of the season. Oh my. Great match up and I can see lots of draft day implications.

Pete

Pete It's all good news Pete. I had some things I had to do first before finalizing this and we should have that done by the end of this weekend I'm told. I just met with them yesterday morning again and we are almost there. Hang tight.

I'm at the Bellagio for 12 days and I walked over to Caesar's last night for some drinks. Is there a better location on the Strip than this spot right here? EVERYTHING you want is in this section of the Strip. Whether you want to stay at Bellagio or Caesar's or Harrah's or Venetien or Bally's or Flamingo or Paris, it's all right here in this section. Both ends of the Strip seem to be a bit out of the way now, especially with City Center in the way and making it tough to walk down that side. This middle part is WHERE IT'S AT. I hope we can stay here and I'll know more soon.

But we can definitely roll out the dates and times for each area and even get a Signup List going. We will unveil much of that this week even though our NFBC contest is still going strong through Wednesday night. The last of our live events is in an hour. What an INCREDIBLE baseball season we've had.

Football will be just as successful, I'm sure of that. We're ready to kick off the season soon.
