Kahuna Frenzy, Thier messege board is dead.
Wonder if thier players decided they blew it
playing there? You'd think they would be talking like here. Guess not. Score another win for Greg.

I heard their numbers were ridiculous... like 36 ?
I know for a fact they screwed over my buddies in the poker game. How'd you like to pony up $179 to play only to show up and find out they were pimping your private 'play with some fantasy football players' contest to the whole casino and inviting local pros to play with you?
Fact is, Kahuna propped his gamers and my friends up in the air and let the pros screw them.
Nicely done, James - it really feels like anything for a buck from you. The whole casino was invited? By postings and loudspeaker announcements? That makes me sick, dude... we would have passed a hat for you at the NFFC. I can't imagine you answering this, but I know of 2 very upset people that you should apologize to... I don't care how you treat your gamers, but how you treat my friends is another matter.

DVY - This is exactly why Greg's gang made it and the others will not. Reputation is what helped the WCOFF grow and it will do the same for the NFFC and NFBC! Anyone can take your money once; but honestly wins loyalty and loyalty builds a business. The NFFC and NFBC are here to stay.

I got an email today from Kahuna that said "Poker finals has two football guys in top three". Even this is untrue. A Vegas pro and and a California semi-pro split the final two spots. Congrats to "Philly" who did manage to survive three all-ins on the final table to make third place.
I finished 11th... one spot out of the money... there were at least four locals at the final table.
Not happy.

Did you also notice that they are actually trying to sell four open teams after the fact? (Sad thing is one of them looked pretty good.)
I think its safe to assume that this is the last time we hear from them, that is unless they can find a new group of suckers next year.
I venture to guess that high stakes fantasy football will be synonymous with the big-2 events for years to come. The NFBC has a chance to be the only baseball event, but it looks like the WCOFF has penetrated the market to a point, that is has capitalized on a first mover advantage and has built a brand recognition that will enable it to persist.
It appears there is plenty of room in this niche high end of the industry for both events to flourish. But from what I’ve seen the NFFC clearly has a better understanding how to produce a high quality product and provide a level of customer service that is beyond anyone’s expectations. Props again to Greg and Tom, I’ll be throwing down my $1250 here for years to come.

The $1,000,000 Contest is expected to come up woefully short - they sent an email out that I saw with various options - they'll probably only end up with 30-40 where the only way you'll win is if you come in 1st. I think 2nd you get your $ back ($3600?) and if you win a 12 team league you get $3600. Brutal. Tom and Greg have the right formula - excellent customer service ! If that doesnt slip then this contest will become a major event !

Nobody will move their cheese and they'll continue to create a paradigm shift using core competencies and thinking outside the box.

Good to see more than one of us can throw a little tongue and cheek “corporate speak” around. All joking aside I’m glad I didn’t stumble onto an event like the Kahuna as my first exposure into this end of the industry, will likely spoil more than one person from ever trusting a high stakes competition again.

Agreed - Kahuna should come over here and apologize to us.
That is assuming his backers don't take it out on him and we ever see him again.
I announced a $1 billion fantasy league just weeks ago - but luckily I got no signups and when I cancelled it the email just went out to me.

Well the guy is an assclown. Thats really the only word I can come up with. Anyone that keeps referring to himself and his game as "The Frenzy" 75 times a day needs help anyways.
I want to see Dave Cushard take him out behind the woodshed!!!! Can we get this thing on the Hopkins-De La Hoya undercard????
