If you're seriously asking this question, yes, your league of 14 is the only one you NEED to worry about. Each of the four Chicago leagues will be drafting separately from one another, and the picks will be announced solely to the 14 owners of that particular league (although you may be able to hear picks from the other tables around you). After the proceedings are complete, you might want to take a look at how the other leagues shape up.

Hope that clears up things a tad.

a. Let that disturb your concentration
b. Get an idea for a guy you forgot about
c. All of the above

King of Queens - I was pretty sure of how things were going to work until I read the strin on this topic, lets call it a case of nerves - I've never taken down so many seasoned owners before .

Nope, I'll be in New York, but I will give you a little draft advice. Your first round pick should be used on a defense. Try to get one like Arizona or San Diego, as they will be on the field a bunch and score you lots of points. Follow that pick up with a kicker. Remember that there is no penalty for missed FGs here, so you can afford to grab one of the rookies--perhaps even one that kicks in cold weather.

KoQ I disagree. I believe it is critical to 1st get a stud kicker, then focus on defense with your next two picks. It’s obviously important to get two right away so you can rotate against the weak opponents.

You guys are making it hurt that you are not in my league. Perhaps a little side action (high number of team points) Just a thought.

I'm afraid I agree with nnoy here, I'd absolutely get that kicker first - maybe even first 2 rounds. Defense can wait until round 3 or 4, never want to get your Defense too early anyway.

The great thing about these kicker/Def picks in the first couple rounds comments is that they've got legs. I heard the same cheese 10 years ago and you can rest assured that this very message board will have those comments 10 years from now. It has almost become a rite of passage for fantasy football smack talk but it is one of my favorite slices of cheese because it means that the fantasy football draft and then the NFL season are so close that I can hardly stand it....Good times.
