Dumb Question? Why not 2 QBs?

Post by BernieBaseball31 » Sat Aug 14, 2004 7:16 am

Dear NFFC,

with only 12 teams in each league, what is the reasoning behind only starting 1 QB? even with 2 QBs there would still be a lot of backups.

its just what iu'm used to in my local league and we've nbever had any problems. just curious. i haven't signed up yet but i'm just trying to make sure i undertand rules before i do anything.

Bernie,
We'd love to have you in the NFFC. 14 team leagues though.

I don't think starting 2 QB's appeals to the fantasy football "masses". Just my two cents...

Bernie, as Gordon said it is a 14-team league and we'd love to have you join. I'm seeing more and more 2-QB leagues these days. That's the beauty of fantasy football, you can create any type of league you want and the most important thing is that everyone in the league is having a good time.

If you're still debating and you have any questions about the NFFC, feel free to post them here and Greg or I will be happy to help you out and so will our other members since we've got a pretty sharp group here. Or if you'd like, you can give me or Greg a call anytime next week at work. You can reach us at (715) 445-4612 ext. 284 (for Greg) or ext. 653 (for me).

Hope you decide to come aboard.

Bernie...you won't regret signing up for this event, it's going to be a lot better than sitting at home drafting on your puter but seriously...SH IT OR GET OFF THE POT already, it's 3 weeks away!!!

I've already posted this somewhere, but here goes...why did you make it 14 leagues as opposed to the standard 12, and how many members are committed, to date? Please respond soon and I'll get my payment to you guys. Thanks.

Richie, I think they made it 14 to be a little different and to make it more challenging. Your chances may be a little less to win your league but they are much better than the WCOFF to win 200K.

There always exists the possibility that they will be forced to tone down the overall prize to $100k or $150k.

Based on conversations with Greg, it seems that Krause has no problem operating at a break-even or even a very modest loss... but obviously they can't absorb a $100k loss to run the event, either. Get in - if the overall prize ends up somewhat lower it will only be because your odds of winning are higher with less entrants.

I prefer 2 punters so they can do the flea kicker.
