say hypothetically someone drafted ONE QB (or any position) in the live draft who had a bye later in the season... and figured he could pick up a back up QB during the season as a free agent to cover the bye week of if his original QB happened to get injured.
and then say prior to the 1st game of the season the original QB he drafted got surprisingly CUT or injured... am i right in assuming this team is stuck and can not pick up a replacement prior to game 1? even though it is slim pickings on the free agent list...
question about our league....

In this scenario, the owner would end up getting a zero for the first week. There are no free-agent moves this week so he would not be able to pick up another QB.
