faab procedure inquiry...

Post by renman » Mon Sep 13, 2004 1:49 am

this is my first season in a league like this.

i understand there will be a silent auction for free agents. bidding starts tuesday i believe.

say someone puts in a bid.. when are the results posted? and if you do not get who you were wanting.. can you put in a new pick before the following weeks games? do all conditional picks need to be made at once on tues? if a player breaks his leg in practice on friday, can we pick someone up before that sundays games?

i apologize if answers to these questions are already posted somewhere...

Answers:

1) Yes, bidding starts Tuesday and ends Friday at 4 p.m. EST.

2) Results will be posted within the hour, likely earlier than that. Make conditional bids for all positions you want to pick up as there are no bids after Friday's deadline before the weekend games.

3) If a player breaks his leg over the weekend, you cannot pick up a new free agent to replace him. That's why backups at every spot are sometimes needed.

Good luck.

ok, thanks for the info... i assume the procedure for making "conditional picks" is clear?
