Exactly, he went in the 3rd round in all of my live drafts last weekend in UFS. I think he'll almost have the same impact Boldin did last year.
Jules is a Dirt bag and makes my luck.

One add'l thought on those laughing at $900+ bids for Gordon... This league is 14 teams deep. We also carry deep benches. Look over the available players in most leagues and you will see a bunch of garbage. Most RB backups were drafted. WR's are a dime a dozen. A starting RB, even if it ends up as a RBBC situation is a good player to bid high on. No bids allowed after week 11 either (maybe week 12).

I ask this seriously as I don't have the answer -- what are some examples of backs with little track record performing with that kind of woeful offense?

Let's see, he lasted 3 games before he got hurt last year. But I agree with JD. If you were starting rb poor because of a bad draft, this was your only option.

D. Davis looked pretty good last year as a starter who appeared after week 1.
I did what I did because Wheatley was my RB 2. This give me an option at RB and Flex. Equally important it keeps him off 2-4 teams in my league that needed him much more than I do. Sometimes defense if your best offense.
The team I play this week has Faulk and
A) Minor - Out
B) Moe Williams - Questionable
C) Toefield
I'm pretty happy he didn't get Gordon this week.

i love to see the new-proud owners of gordon trying to justify the purchase. makes a daddy proud.
Is my "weekend warrior" prep better than your prep?

No need to justify, Gordon. They did the right thing. I'm also bitter my 911 didn't do the job.

No justification here just thought process.
King o' Queens, I am in your league (NY1). I bid $996 on Gordon, my reasoning two fold, first I'm pretty solid in the RB position but wanted to insulate myself against bye weeks and any injury that may occur. Secondly, there are a number of teams in our league who are precariously thin at the RB position, I love the fact they will be in deep doo doo on bye weeks or if a injury befalls them (Sorry, just being honest)
Add in the fact I secured a backup to my 1st QB and a 2nd defense, I'm very happy with the pick up.
I have one golden dollar left to pickup a PK when Sebastian is off.
Anyway, only time will tell!! Best of luck.
Manda's Jowl Juicers (0-1) fookin' McNair and his 10 points last week!!
