The people complaining didn't understand how important it was to get 2 "decent RB's and now since it is hard to compete without 2, they are complaining. (not everyone, but the usual suspects)

[/QUOTE]This one was actually funny enough that I chuckled when I read it. It's exactly how I see Liquid reading most things, almost like a dog hearing human voices. It's just all background noise and then Liquid speaks and he hears nothing but himself.

I did physically blink when it was dubbed a "Yeoman's effort", you know - considering a yeoman is a flunky. I suppose that's as accurate as most possible descriptions.

I believe that's where the term "yeoman's effort" comes from.

Then again, Fred Grandy played Yeoman Purser Burl "Gopher" Smith on The Love Boat.

On second thought, maybe Yeoman's aren't so bad after all. After all, Grandy did become a two-term congressman--and almost a governor--in Iowa.

So take that, Mr. Blahblahblah!

Dyv..I think Duce may be a bench flunky this weekend. Sorry!

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the Steelers downgraded RB Duce Staley from probable to questionable for tomorrow's game at Heinz Field. Staley had been listed as probable with a knee injury all week, but yesterday he was downgraded because of a new hamstring injury. It's not a good sign when you're suddenly downgraded after
Friday's practice.

Guys...I KNOW Duce. He WILL play and play HARD. I've watched him for 7 years and trust me, he wouldn't miss this game if he had a leg amputated.

Did you just use a Love Boat character in a discussion? Ack!!!

I'm aware of the term 'Yeoman's effort' - just poking fun at it.

Duce hurt his hammy on Friday in practice. Evaluations will be ongoing until kickoff ;)

I take my previous statement back. Duce will NOT be playing today. It must REALLY be a bad injury for him to sit this one out. A "gamer" in every sense of the word.
