Any chance of having a California draft city?

Not this year. We are going to expand to more cities in future years, but this year we are committed to Las Vegas, New York and Chicago. We get a lot of Californians to come to Las Vegas. For our National Fantasy Baseball Championship, we sold all 300 spots this March and are looking to add a fourth city in 2006, likely Tampa as it makes sense with spring training and the Yankees being there. Should the NFFC sell out in 2005, we will do the same analysis and see what makes the most sense for expansion in 2006. Maybe it's New Orleans or Dallas or Los Angeles. We'll see.

I'll get my beads ready and bring my video camera so I can make "Girl's Gone Wild 76" to make a little scratch before I blow all my cash at Harrah's! ;)

Gerard, Lumpy, and myself could probably help you with any arrangements necessary for New Orleans, Greg. I imagine between the three of us we know every politician and influential individual in town and we definitely know where to go to party!!!

What we've learned about the high-stakes events is that location is important, but that a place to have fun is a good alternative, too. I think expanding to a southern city for football as our next move makes sense. In baseball, going to a Florida spring training location makes perfect sense. For football, New Orleans, Atlanta or Dallas seems to make sense, with New Orleans having a few of the intangibles that could make the weekend fun. I will see how the numbers play out this year and then make a sound decision this September for 2006.

Harrah's doesn't have meeting room space, does it? Which good hotels in New Orleans have 8,000+ in meeting room space? Get on the hunt for me.

I suggested New Orleans last year for a fourth city. Seemed like a good idea to me. :D

Tom, I was an officer in a Mardi Gras krewe and can tell you the Hyatt, Hilton, Doubletree, Sheraton, Marriott can all handle the 8000 and are all within walking distance of the French Quarter. Maybe I forgot to tell you I have a house about 40 minutes from New Orleans. I will be down there this weekend taking my wife to the theater and my daughter to the French Quarter so I will be more than happy to recon, but I may need your expertise in event locating so feel free to come on down. :D
